POSITION PURPOSE
Lead, animate and manage a Metier Development business; accountable and responsible for operational activities and projects associated within given Metier.
Direct package development and project management activities to assure timely and cost effective new product launches, promotions, and maintenance of basic business activities. Responsible for identifying new and improved processes that will result in effective cost reduction / harmonization programs for new or existing product
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Directs a team in charge of managing launch, makeover and value analysis projects, has a global vision in accordance with the commitments made to divisions/zones and contributing to achieving Sharing Beauty with all's objectives.
• Anticipates the workload of the department, the requirements and the resources needed to advance projects, and sets departmental goals and decides on priorities
Contibutes to the construction of the launch plan by controlling, together with Marketing and R&I, the front-loading process and prioritizing launches as well as strengthening innovations (Animation and steering of the Launches strategic reviews)
Supports teams in managing projects, manages risk situations and keeps senior management abreast of them
Implements, tracks and improves activity and performance indicators
Develop, challenge, inspire and motivate the team
Responsible for operating budget
Cost Control and Financial Management
Drive Innovation and Sustainability Initiatives
Optimize Launch Process, Tools and Procedures
Cost Reduction support to Operations teams (Plant + Purchasing)
Management of specific launch projects as necessary or required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
• 8+ years’ experience in proven package development project work, preferably in the cosmetics, consumer goods or related field; this is a working manager position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Must have demonstrated management skills, leading and developing a team of professionals
• Must be able to articulate and implement a vision and motivate team members to achieve department goals & objectives
• Must possess strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence senior management and
• key business stakeholders
• Must be able to think and plan strategically, with the ability to be creative and think “outside the box”.
Must be eligible to work in the US on an ongoing and permanent basis without assistance.
