The Assistant eCommerce Transportation Analyst will provide operational and analytical support in domestic and international logistics operations with a focus on small parcel and e-commerce.
Description
In a unique and dynamic role, the Assistant eCommerceTransportation Analyst will support A&F’s growing international e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will have a logistics background with experience in e-commerce and omnichannel operations.
Beyond supporting the actual parcel shipping operations, the direct-to-consumer transportation team is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience by providing reliable carrier solutions, multiple delivery options and excellent visibility.
Core Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary transportation contact for the e-commerce and omnichannel divisions regarding all carrier related business needs (e.g. service issues, reporting, data analysis, etc.)
• Serve as the transportation expert to support e-commerce and omnichannel projects (e.g. ship from store, pick-up in store, etc.) and day-to-day operations
• Support international business growth by establishing new & creative delivery solutions in an ever-changing e-commerce customer climate
• Lead meetings with the e-commerce business partners and service providers to drive results
• Perform intermediate cost and process analysis and leverage results to make key decisions
• Develop integrated expense analyses, reports and presentations to identify exceptions and trends
• Hold service providers accountable for performance by challenging appropriately and effectively
• Develop and maintain department procedures for which the transportation analyst is directly responsible
• Research eCommerce industry trends and participate in benchmarking exercises
• Lead process improvements within transportation, DC operations and e-commerce
• Display a working knowledge of small parcel carrier rates and services and leverage knowledge to properly support the business
• Support IT system development and implementation as needed
• Identify problems and implement resolutions in a timely fashion
• Make a positive impact on the business by keeping expense management and customer experience at the forefront of decision making
• Identify freight savings opportunities, implement process changes, and measure and report results
• Work with manager and department peers in evaluating and selecting service providers
Additional responsibilities may include:
• Develop and maintain transportation SOPs
• Contribute to carrier contract negotiations
• Lead the evaluation and selecting of service providers
• Serve as the primary point of contact for service providers
