Position Purpose and Scope
Club Monaco seeks an experienced Finance Director to lead the financial decision analysis capability; reporting directly to the Senior Director of Global FP&A. This position will collaborate with channel and functional capability leads to implement performance management controls for all revenue, gross margin, and inventory plans as well as drive initiatives in support of the fiscal 2018 Way Forward operating plan. The scope of responsibility for this role will include omni-channel operational finance support for global retail, e-commerce, license, and wholesale channels as well as merchandising function finance support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive financial professional with the ability to manage and deliver priorities accurately, on-time, and with a high degree of confidence. This position requires strong foundation knowledge of a multi-channel operating model paired with demonstrated experience developing business case analytics, building what if scenarios and delivering fact-based recommendations to multiple cross functional stakeholders throughout the division.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive product revenue, margin, and inventory planning assumptions in partnership with channel leadership (Retail, E-com, International License business), merchandising, planning, and customer insights
• Build merchandising finance capability to provide monthly forecasting decision analytics support to merchandising leads (ie assortment economics, inventory investments, production costs, margin analytics)
• Proactively develop risks and opportunities assessment for the channels and collaboratively build action plans to address
• Lead real estate scenario planning and financial strategy to evaluate existing store portfolio and new store economics
• Drive disciplined development of financial business cases to support request and support leadership teams efforts to effectively evaluate resource allocations and trade-offs.
• Develop KPI reporting and tools to track and performance manage progress against Path To Profit
Requirements
• 10+ years of progressive corporate financial planning & analysis experience within retail and / or apparel
• Strong foundational accounting and corporate finance knowledge to support efforts to build scenario planning models and support ad hoc analytical work (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Merchandising economics, etc…)
• Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing decision analytics tools and valuing operational initiatives targeted to drive revenue, gross margin, and inventory key performance indicators
• Successful candidate will have experience leading individual contributors, setting short-term and long-term priorities, and providing professional development guidance
• Successful candidate will have demonstrated experience developing fact-based recommendations and communicating with both finance and non-finance business partners
• BS Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA / CPA preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience with Hyperion Planning/Reporting and Essbase a plus
