Purpose and Scope: Support of the A + D department staff, predominantly the Directors of PFS A + D, in project coordination, including the preparation of schematic design drawings and related components for all global Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Stores per brand appropriate standards developed by RLSD A + D. Manage budget spreadsheets and invoices.
Responsibilities:
1. Schematic / Design Development Packages
a. Participates in the development of schematic drawings based on input from Directors of PFS Architecture + Design, Visual Presentation and Merchant groups.
b. Participates in the preparation of design development drawings for use by external architects and consultants for concept clarification and to prepare Construction Documents.
c. Participates in the timely review of Construction Documents by external Polo Ralph Lauren partners and verify conformity with Polo Ralph Lauren standards developed by RLSD PFS.
2. Exterior Store Signage
a. Verify signage criteria within Lease Outline Documents with landlords, coordinating the accurate documentation in lease work letters with Ralph Lauren’s internal Legal and Real Estate departments.
b. Ensure application of corporately approved logos and graphics programs in global outlet stores, for new stores, renovations and signage replacement related to repair and maintenance.
c. Oversee scheduling and management of signage fabrication, shipment and installation in stores.
d. Develop and maintain Exterior Store Signage reference manual for all stores on shared folders, including landlord approved signage drawings and completion photographs.
3. Bid and Vendor Coordination
a. Coordinate the preparation of requests for proposals to be sent out to vendors and participate in the review of bid packages received under the scope of Directors of PFS Architecture + Design.
b. Management of the process for architectural services, AV systems, back-of-house storage systems, etc.
4. Financial Responsibility
a. Manage budget tracking of awarded bids, purchase orders and payments to vendors in corporately approved software system.
5. Potential travel required
Job Requirements:
• College degree in Interior Design or related field of study, and 2-3 years’ experience
• Must have knowledge of technical equipment necessary to do space plans and generate/revise schematic and design development drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD including knowledge of 3D CAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Illustrator, Photoshop, and general computer skills.
• Knowledge of design standards, details and construction.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have proven customer service skills.
