Description
Lead, guide and support the Global and Regional Brand / Cluster of Brands to achieve business objectives. Lead the Brand's operational business needs specifically related to Supply Chain - Quality, Customer Service, Cost and Inventory. Identify , communicate, and participate in the resolution of critical areas of risk, and related mitigation strategies, to senior Brand, Regional and Supply Chain leadership on a timely basis. Provide leadership and guidance to both direct, matrix and indirect reports, building Supply Chain capabilities that satisfy market needs while driving resolution of issues with various functions.
Ensure that business risks (both short term and long term) are identified, translated into Brand impacts and effectively communicated to the appropriate Global/Regional stakeholders to support strategic decision making by partnering with Global and Regional supply chain key players.
Manage a team of GBSC Brand Leads and other Regional support roles working with assigned Brands, Plants and Functions. Lead and develop the team to provide exceptional strategic support on Customer Service, Inventory Management, and Risk Aversion. Builds team capability to influence and shape business strategy as it relates to Supply Chain risks and opportunities.
Communication point person to Global Business Leaders with regard to Brand service performance, future service projections, risk and risk mitigation strategies/status. Engage with and guide Regional Supply Planning in the resolution of issues, as required. Define and implement improved processes for integration of supply chain performance into SIOP process. Accountable for monthly coordination of SIOP materials and chairperson of Global SIOP meetings.
Recommend best practice solutions related to Global inventory deployment and allocations for basic items by working in concert with Regional Supply Planning Teams. Drive the repacking / reformulation/ focus factory transfer execution processes to ensure balancing of inventory and avoidance of destruction by coordinating and communicating effectively with the regional supply planning teams.
Drive continuous improvement in inventory performance by reviewing and analyzing service and inventory information, adding brand intelligence to assist in the determination of root cause and propose corrective actions.
Levarage strong project management skills in the oversight of Global Line Edit/Line Maintenance process, BOM management and Phase In - Phase Out (Soft Phase)
Ensure functional ownership of Root Cause Analysis and Issue Resolution for matters and events causing a disruption in product supply (QA Issues, Capacity Constraints, Vendor related failures). Facilitate cross-functional dialogue as required, and formalize relevant communication process.
Support and drive process for assigned cluster of Brands and monitor Brand COGS (cost of goods) to plan and drive continuous improvement, manage monthly manufacturing variances.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 10 years related experience
APICS CPIM a plus, Industrial Engineering, Operations research, or mathematics background preferred but willing to consider other technical majors and relevant experience.'
Minimum 4 year college degree – preferably business or supply chain focus.
Related Experience in the area(s) of Supply Planning, GBSC and S&OP process
Proven Leadership and Decision Making capabilities. - Highly analytical - analyzes & utilizes facts effectively for presentation to decision makers.
Strong Communication – expressing ideas effectively in individual and group situations. High level of interaction with senior management. - Strong character - willing to champion the right decision and not be easily dissuaded.
Teamwork/Collaboration – Encourages interdependency while holding others accountable.
Familiarity with SAP SNP or other advanced planning systems.
Must be knowlegeable of organizational design and interdependencies.
Working knowledge of inventory drivers and the principles of statistical safety stock.
Organizational Skills- ability to successfully manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously
