Description
OBJECTIVES:
Implement project management process to track all creative department projects from inception to completion from all Global, Regional and Market/Affiliate team members. Provide complete communication to all departments, regions, markets/affiliate, internal and external resources involved in a program/project with regard to timelines, due dates and overall risk awareness to senior management. Responsible for establishing, facilitating and maintaining workflow and communication between creative and all other project team members. Build, lead and develop the creative operations team.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Collaborate with Vice President to build and refine department strategy to continually improve on systems in the creative services area. Propose changes/innovations to workflow and production formats.
• Collaborate with Vice President on maintaining the global creative department budget.
• Manage and build a team of 2+ people; responsible for mentoring, recruiting, talent development, evaluation and career planning.
• Have strong knowledge and understanding of the creative process and functions.
• Establish quarterly meetings to review department systems, workload and supplier performance.
• Initiate seasonal timeline to Senior Management to ensure photo shoots take place in enough time to have all seasonal assets available to support new programs and existing franchise pillars, global meetings, ship dates and on counter dates.
• Collaborate with Creative in driving coordination of all video projects, ensuring needs, timelines and budgets are met.
• Initiate all timelines, based on due dates/On Counter Dates. Liaise with creative team and visual merchandising team to manage the timelines for all projects including artwork, 2D (visuals, advertising, catalogue, education, PR and consumer materials) and 3D projects, tester units etc. via GMW.
• Lead the bi-weekly Creative Status Meetings with all support groups as part of project management and the development process. Recap the meeting, follow up and re issue dates and schedules for the following meeting via email.
• Responsible for analyzing job budgets. Monitor schedules as they pertain to due dates and budgets. Issue revised timelines/costs.
• Liaise with design for approval on all projects throughout the development process & monitor progress and facilitate creation and production via constant communication with functional groups.
• Oversee the routing of all projects through Marketing, Corporate Print Purchasing and NAMG (North America Merchandising Group within deadline.
• Raise Awareness and inform respective functional groups of any revisions to project timelines if dates are in jeopardy, send out a weekly report/tracker with call outs to programs/projects with next steps.
• Oversee each phase of the internal and external approval process: including the approval of copy,layouts, final artwork, proofs and printed samples.
• Work with corporate print purchasing and/or NAMG to develop production estimates and communicate costs to the requesting departments via GMW, meetings and email.
• Oversee all 3D merchandising elements and partner closely with Global Merchandising, NAMG and Global Marketing, International.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Position requires 10+ years related experience including working on a global scale
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational skills with the ability to motivate and develop top talent
• Flexible and multi-functional to handle ever changing priorities
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with self-starter mentality
• Proficient knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office, In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop, GMW
