Burberry’s Executive Leadership is evolving, and our new CEO will join imminently, to focus on the commercial, financial and operational side of our business! An exciting opportunity is now available – to join us as Executive Assistant to the CEO, a role that will suit a professional with significant experience of supporting C-level executives within a public company with a similar remit. The role will require extensive administrative and organisational support with a humble, bright and energetic approach. You will demonstrate exceptional use of initiative, a warm manner and ultimately create a smooth running and efficient office. The role requires the confidence and charm to epitomise the brand and our values, and to be an ambassador for our CEO in all internal and external interactions and agreed areas of responsibility.
Responsibilities;
• Proactively managing requests and workload through a good understanding of the department priorities and those of the CEO
• Acting firmly, but with charm, in managing the Executive’s agenda and meetings’ schedule and taking decisions accordingly, while prioritising the needs of the business
• Extensive Diary Management – daily management of scheduling and rescheduling appointments, communicating to attendees, flexible approach to changing schedules, ensuring appointments are met and correct facilities have been booked
• Liaising with all International offices – acting as an Ambassador (for the CEO as well as the brand) and a real relationship builder
• Extensive travel bookings – applying for necessary visas for travel
• Completing expense reports and checking expenses before being sent for approval and maintaining the upkeep of the forecasted travel budgets
• Maintaining required records for the Executive and department
• Purchase Order Management as required
• Producing general correspondence to both internal and external stakeholders
• Maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times
• Coordinating and/or lead ad-hoc projects, as requested
• Attending relevant meetings, taking notes as requested and sending these out to attendees
• Ensuring all PAs within the department are aware of department priorities and key dates
• Acting as role model for PAs, mentoring and coaching all PAs within the department in order for them to maximise they effectiveness in their role
Person Profile;
• Previous experience of working as an EA to C-level executives in a public company
• Experience of working in global corporate organisations, engaging with senior leadership in various global locations (ideally including Asia)
• Highly computer literate, particularly in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• SAP knowledge is desirable
• Excellent written and spoken English. Other languages (ie Italian) would be an advantage
• Strong problem solving skills; proactive and confident in taking initiative
• Ability to be very flexible and to re-prioritise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to establish and build partnerships at executive/board level (internal and external stakeholders)
• Able to handle multiple assignments while showing diplomacy and efficiency in a highly pressured environment
• Ability to respond quickly to last minute requests and changes
• Able to work autonomously with exceptional timekeeping
