Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
• Work with the Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) to develop, plan and execute marketing and promotional strategies in line with brand guidelines to ensure overall brand’s objectives are achieved.
• Work with Marketing Manager (Digital) to manage and drive digital/social activities to drive sales online.
• Provide support to the sales team in the execution of product launches, on counter re-promote initiatives and in-store events.
• Engage in business analysis in order to manage inventory situation and to drive business growth.
• Work closely with NY Marketing to provide APAC specific feedback and coordinate information flow.
Consumer Engagements: Launches, Promotions, VM and Consumer Events
• Marketing directive for marketing programs - Support RMM and collaborate closely with VM team on the planning and execution of newness launches/re-promotes including promotion sites and consumer events.
• Provide clear objectives and strategies for field implementation.
• Close collaboration with VM team on optimizing impactful VM representation on counter for launches/re-promotes.
• Promotional support for execution of on-counter/in-store events & VIP consumer events to drive consumer engagement, create luxury experiences and strengthen brand exposure.
• Assist with alignment of launch dates & promotions across the APAC affiliate regions.
• Close collaboration with Regional/ Affiliate teams and translation agency to synergize communication copy, including liaising with regions ‘representative for proof reading.
• Source, liaise, and negotiate with vendors to ensure smooth, timely and cost effective deliverables.
• Maintain effective budget controls on marketing lines
• Preparation of launch recap reports
Inventory Management (Assortment, Stocks, Pricing)
• Inventory management via accurate maintenance of assortment matrix, launch order tracking, close management of saleable/non-saleable in Lachen (including excess list) to ensure that they are ordered through promptly.
• To be the key contact point with Lachen, NY and regions on all inventory matters (new launches, ongoing assortment, delays, out of stock situations, etc.) to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Assess marketing programs including tracking of sell-in vs. forecast for new product launches.
• Proactive in using business analysis tools to identify potential inventory issues.
• Cascade timely update of launch status & out of stock situations to regions.
• Closely manage the Hainan assortment by tracking China HP registrations and manage the building of bridge stocks with NY Demand Planning & retailers.
• Work closely with Pricing team on the issuance of pricelists and changes to the retailers
Digital Consumer Marketing
• Work closely with Marketing Manager & Digital Consumer Marketing team in executing digital/social initiatives and media campaigns to drive consumer engagement & digital outreach.
• Active management of retailer boutique site updates and digital calendar to drive sales on-line.
• Support new boutique site development.
• Digital analytics, monitor competitor activities.
Inflight Management
• Management of product listings and advertising for approved inflight accounts.
• Provide timely inventory forecast to TR New York and TR Demand Planning via update on inflight tracker.
• Prepare in flight presentations for sales presentations to airlines. Co-ordinate with New York on in-flight communication assets requirements.
• Close collaboration with Business Manager to ascertain profitability of product listing/ads when assessing inflight viability.
Others
• Maintain close liaison with NY Marketing (bi-weekly conference calls) to provide feedback on launch programs and TR specific programs, inventory issues, discuss marketing material/support needs, and provide active feedback on regional requirements.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of bi-annual Sales Cycle Meeting. This entails the preparation of marketing folders (including marketing updates, allocation for stocks/collaterals, assortment etc), working with NY to ensure that visuals and product comps are available before meetings, planning room setup, on site execution, and providing support for retailer presentations.
• Management of collaterals/stock inventory in the office and at the Singapore warehouse and to place orders for testers/saleables/collateral from Lachen when the need arises. Sending collaterals to different regions where need arises.
• Maintain existing Library for each brand and its assets – particularly on visual update, VM directives, events and promotions, IMW, forecast by season by brand.
• Good working knowledge on internal SAP systems for shopping cart creation, stock enquiry, Business Intelligence for reporting & validation of sales data for sell in and sell through analysis.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Relevant University Degree or Diploma holder,
• Possess at least 2 years of working experience in either a sales/marketing function, preferably in the cosmetics & skincare industry
• High proficiency in MS Office particularly Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Highly fluent in written and conversational English.
• Essential to have above competency in spoken and written Mandarin to liaise with China counterparts and stakeholders.
• Competent in Korean or Japanese is an added advantage.
