The Sr. Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of all Adult site and email marketing in addition to championing the site and leading promotional planning. This position will report to the Marketing Director and will have one direct report.
Key Job Responsibilities Include:
• Help lead preseason and in season calendar planning, develop strategies to react to business, partnering closely with Marketing Director, Buying, Finance, Production and Store teams. Ensure strong synergy across all marketing channels.
• Lead in season execution (calendaring and creation of messages, brief writing, kickoff, creative review, QA) for all site and email assets for the Adult division
• Create inspiring and strategic marketing briefs that lead with a customer first mindset and a clear point of view. Ability to translate product stories into compelling marketing messages
• Partner with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director to ensure that Adult initiatives and site/promo strategies are represented in the marketing calendar
• Partner with the Buying Team to develop strategies to grow the business
• Lead ad hoc analysis and seasonal hindsights to drive new strategies
• Bring new promotion, site and email ideas to the table, continuously testing and learning
• Build a strong partnership with Store marketing partners, supporting traffic and growth initiatives across both channels to drive the best omni-channel experience
• Partner with the Associate Marketing manager for all email and site executional tasks, including QA, email proofing and approvals, and site tracking ensuring flawless execution
• Understand market and competitive trends
• Own special projects
• Manage one Associate Marketing Manager, ensuring professional growth and development
Site & Promo Lead Responsibilities Include:
• Drive thought leadership and strategy for site and promo through hindsight analysis, testing, and an understanding of trends and the industry to drive engagement and maximize traffic to gapfactory.com
• Identify and champion site functionality that will help to enhance and personalize content to drive engagement and sales
• Build and drive the site and promo testing roadmap to optimize sales and performance
• Introduce and test new promotional offers
• Lead key promotional campaigns throughout the year
• Ensure site campaigns are evolving and consistently optimized for mobile
• Responsible for execution of all site projects (creative review, linking, QA, deployment, managing CRM & email vendor teams relationships) in partnership with the Associate Marketing Manager
• Run and own all site and promo reporting and share out (weekly and monthly recaps), developing insights and strategies
• 5-7 years of experience
• Must have a passion for innovative thinking & strong business acumen as well as prior experience in digital marketing (email, site, promotions a plus)
• Solid analytical skills, ability to glean insights and tell a story from data. Omniture experience a plus
• Strategic, data driven, global thinker with a customer focused mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized with high attention to detail and process
• Team player with strong intrapersonal skills to foster relationships with multiple cross-functional teams
• Must have a deep understanding of how to use marketing to drive a business, how to prepare for and react to change and how to provide leadership with information and recommendations needed to make smart, fast decisions
• Politically savvy with track record of navigating multiple levels of an organization
• Positive attitude with ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, deal with ambiguity, and prioritize multiple projects
• Self-starter with an innate sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn
• BA/BS required and MBA preferred, but not required
