Reporting to the WW & MW Fashion Head (and working closely with the MW Fashion Editor and WW Fashion Editor) this role sits within Fashion Team who form part of the wider Brand Experience Department. The Fashion Team create and oversee fashion styling content for all customer touchpoints including Social, Homepages, Magazine, Brand Partnerships, Marketing campaigns, Localised International content, Video and PR. The Fashion Team work closely with retail, social, marketing, content and creative teams, as well as production. The ability to liaise with and win the respect of wider retail, merchandising teams is crucial. The Unisex Sportswear Fashion Editor role is a newly formed position working across womenswear and menswear. Sportswear is an exciting and ever-growing offer focusing on Activewear (Lifestyle & Performance) and Looped (skate/street sub brand). This role has been created in response to the strong demand from our customers for unique and exciting Sportswear content.
What you’ll be doing…
Strategy:
• Working with Fashion Team Editors to deliver a consistent Sportswear fashion message and styling handwriting across the brand ensuring ASOS is a global fashion destination for styling inspiration.
• Be the fashion lead on all internal Sportswear conversations and help establishing a clear point of view that marries up to the ASOS Brand and communicate this to the wider business. Execute this consistently across all campaigns / all channels with a high level of attention to detail.
• Support the business by ensuring editorial ideas and fashion execution of all Sportswearrelated content (Activewear + Looped) is consistent and supports wider business plans.
• Work closely with Social + Content teams on ideation of Sportswearcontent ideas that successfully engage our existing audience, and new customers - inspire and empower them to shop.
• Develop a true understanding of our international territories to ensure we reflect nuances in market alongside the ASOS fashion identity.
Content:
• Show a true understanding of the Sportswear landscape & Street Culture and champion a fresh style handwriting.
• Oversee / execute the styling of all Sportswear content whilst demonstrating a solid understanding of the ASOS creative look and feel.
• Discover new and up-and-coming talent – photographers, hair and make up artists and models
• Oversee ideation, execution and editing Sportswearcontent working closely with the Sportswear Stylist and Assistant – from our most inspiring Sportswear messages, to instructional sportswear styling features to still life
• Directly liaise with the retail department to consistently translate the biggest retail stories and ensure they also reflect the wider industry and international fashion trends.
• Coordinate and deliver content across all platforms
• Work collaboratively with the creative team to concept and execute Sportswearcontent for online campaigns, commercial and partnership projects.
• Liaise with global project managers and editors where necessary alongside the FT Project Manager to content on time and to brief.
• Provide fashion support for ad hoc content requests from press department, social etc.
Managerial:
• Manage and develop a direct report (sportswearstylist and sportswear assistant )
• Manage all fashion aspects of the content creation process alongside the FT Project Manager. From retail kick off meetings, brainstorming content, liaising with the art and production teams to styling and attending the shoot days.

Experience
• Proven and talented Unisexfashion editor specialising in Sportswear with solid styling/shoot experience - fashion magazine titles, online fashion or fashion media. Some commercial experience is also beneficial.
• Excellent contacts within the fashion sportswear
• A strong and robust awareness of the global fashion landscape and understanding of the factors that contribute to making a successful online fashion destination.
• Solid understanding of our 20-something fashion obsessed customer.
Skills
• An expert eye for spotting the latest, up and coming trends globally relevant to our customers
• Good managerial skills, experience working in a fast-paced team and strong prioritising skills.
• Professional with strong communication skills, the ability to confidently communicate at all levels of the business
