Major Responsibilities
Saks Fifth Avenue is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the strategic visioning and execution of a cutting edge social media program. We are looking for a passionate, ambitious professional who is highly motivated, an innovative and creative thinker, and a strategic, organized and solution-oriented thinker. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of analytics and research, as well as creative best practices and content nuances, in order to drive strategy and track and measure success. This candidate will be a super communicator, with a deep knowledge of current and upcoming social media platforms and proven experience building and managing content calendars, large-scale communities, paid media budgets, partnering and managing top-tier influencer relationships.
Role responsibilities include:
1. Carry out and evolve current social media plan and strategy
2. Develop the paid media budget and monitor/report out on monthly performance
3. Set quarterly goals with clear KPIs against all channels, campaigns and tactics; researches competitive benchmarks by channel to set aggressive but realistic targets
4. Collaborate closely with digital and creative teams to drive cohesive vision and roadmap; Provide creative direction and feedback to drive high-performing content that reflects and drives brand positioning
5. Lead the development of both social media plans and execution to engage and grow our audience while increasing positive brand sentiment and awareness
6. Leverage innovative storytelling and emerging platforms to identify and engage with known and new audiences
7. Collaborate closely with the marketing and merchandising teams to develop content and ensure business needs are being met
8. Manage social media plans and content calendar to ensure that outside of campaigns, daily engagement and communication needs are being met
9. Teams with analytics and reporting to ensure proper reporting capabilities are in place
10. Align and work with legal as appropriate for content and campaigns
11. Assess social tools, vendors, and channels for brand use
12. Manages external relationship with agencies, platform providers and influencers
13. Oversees all execution; Motivates and manages/mentors direct reports at specialist and coordinator levels and manages up to

Personal Characteristics
The successful candidate should be a respected and proven with a quantifiable track record of success in delivering results within a large complex organization. He/she must be creative with a strategic mindset along with the ability to turn concepts into action. He/she must have strong relationship building and influence skills. Professional Qualifications
• 6-8+ years of digital marketing, strategy, communications, and content development experience with leading global consumer brands; luxury retail or fashion experience a must
• Strong analytical skills, Powerpoint and Excel a must
• Experience managing/mentoring small teams and thrives working in a cross-functional position
• Highly engaged digital and social media expert with the ability to develop social media campaigns
• Experience using creative ideas to connect brand with key audiences like influencers, fans, and clients
• Deep understanding of how social media fits within the marketing and communications mix as well as knowledge of other marketing disciplines
• Ability to present social strategies and business results to senior leadership
• Unbreakable good judgment particularly in high pressure times
Educational Credentials
BA/BS or higher degree, ideally with a focus in marketing or business.
