Description of Responsibilities:
The Coordinator of Graphic Services is responsible for supporting the Senior Director on all aspects of managing and executing layout and production services for advertising (print and digital), direct mail (print and digital), digital media, event graphics, and visual projects including interiors and exteriors, for all brands of the Armani portfolio
Overview of Critical Duties:
Layout services consist of advertising layouts for print publications and digital assets, online digital media, e-blasts and e-vites, direct mail and collateral projects, in-store collateral and brochure layouts, visual in-store and window graphics for Retail and Wholesale divisions, promotional materials for special events, standard forms and guidelines for Retail stores, and general online and e-vite layouts for the Corporate office.
Production services consist of facilitating all types of layout and printing processes, such as file prepping, file handling, scanning, retouching, color-matching, as well as fulfillment processes for all mailings and distributions.
Duties:
• Coordinates the activities of the Graphics Dept. and manages the flow of the creative requests through our database
• Designs layouts for all print, collateral, digital and visual graphics for all Corporate, Retail and Wholesale divisions
• Communicates and implements the Graphics Dept. process for all projects to best facilitate the workflow of design and production stages
• Helps maintain the production schedule of all projects
• Assists in design concepts for special seasonal projects with the Senior Director
• Communicates and meets with various levels of associates to assess upcoming projects and manages active projects
• Presents concepts and solutions of project(s) to various levels of associates
• Researches competitor’s direct mail, collaterals and online media for design and concept inspirations
• Communicates and maintains the Armani standards in all print and production projects
• Communicates with third party vendors on all stages of a project
• Obtains estimates for select projects
• Maintains a list of projects for weekly and monthly agendas and documentation
• Organizes and maintains an archive of all print and collateral samples from past seasons
• Organizes and maintains an archive of all digital files of projects from past seasons
• Researches design of direct mail, visuals and websites of other design industry
• Researches and meets with potential vendor (print or service) opportunities
• Researches new paper materials and meet with paper representatives for an in-office presentation
Qualifications:
• Computer proficiency (Adobe Creative programs required, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• College BFA degree of Communication Design or Graphic Design
• Up to 1 year experience inclusive of design internships and freelance projects
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
