GENERAL FUNCTION The Store Design Manager develops and delivers store design packages for new/relocate/remodel store environment projects, for review and approval by the assigned Brand teams. The Store Design Manager also creates, maintains and publishes design standards for associated Brand programs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops project design packages, including but not limited to floor/fixture plans, storefront elevations and materials board.
• Generates multiple design solutions for stores including store layouts, storefronts, and interiors.
• Responsible for regular maintenance and delivery of brand design guidelines and associated CAD blocks.
• Collaborates with store design and other functions/disciplines (i.e. Project Planning, Construction Management, Account Management) within the Nextore organization, to execute designs with excellence.
• Participates in weekly plan review with Design Leadership.
• Provides design support to internal partners, vendors, consultants, and business partners.
• Provides strategic design for the retail environment that uphold and maintain the essence of the brand: all aspects of environmental design, fixture design and environmental graphic application, across the entire retail program for the assigned brand.
• Provides fiscally responsible design solutions for retail programs ranging from rollouts to remodels to new store prototypes.
• Produces material take-offs for project’s owner-supplied items (i.e. store fixtures) for inventory planning purposes.
• Accountable to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of required deliverables.
• Participates in site visits when necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 4-5 year degree in Design or Architecture
• 3+ years of relevant experience in retail store design and planning
• Proficient user of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Proficient user of Adobe Creative Suite
• Sound understanding of and passion for the retail store design and construction
• Strong creative problem solving and flexibility
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work
• Knowledge of current construction practices and materials, millwork, M&E design, lighting design
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of construction drawing sets
• Intuitive creative design sense
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Collaborates well with other project stake holders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in 3d modeling and visualization skills
