Description
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
Design and manages North America in-store merchandising, in-store collateral, visual weeks, sales meetings, schematics, testers, windows, merchandising trays, special events, brand events, specialty merchandising pieces for department stores, schematics, merchandising guidelines manual, archive and materials library system and in-store photo library.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, execute, layout and manage North America in-store schematics for Visual Weeks, Display/tester units, and merchandising guidelines (department store and specialty-multi).
• Work hand in hand with the Global Creative/Visual Merchandising to ensure North America merchandising needs are met from a space, location, and budget standpoint and propose and create Regional relevant solves where necessary.
• Prepare, and execute creative set up for Visual Weeks, Events, and Trade shows including creative concept, rendering, material recommendations, and asset release.
• Spearhead Sephora merchandising development in partnership with Marketing, Global, and North America Merchandising group to layout new product, visuals, and copy.
• Maintain the distribution door profile list for merchandising elements in the NOAM region and advise input on merchandising ordering in partnership with Marketing Operations.
• Design and oversee production of customized merchandising elements for Tom Ford Beauty retail environments working with local vendors when necessary.
• Develop merchandising layouts (planograms) for all new locations in NOAM and ensure presence at new store openings.
• Liaise with Global to keep all parties updated on scheduling, on-counter dates for merchandising tools, and work with key executives to manage issues as they arise.
• Liaise with internal (Field team) and external teams (Retailers) to direct and approve their specific merchandising needs and train the staff on merchandising guidelines where necessary; conduct merchandising workshops and training sessions.
• Maintain consistently high visual standards through regular store visits, conference calls and recap documents.
• Ensure all floor plans, photographs, merchandising layouts, etc. for stores in the NOAM region are organized, up to date and organized on the Global Server.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience preferred in corporate or consulting retail design
• BS or BA in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design
• Excellent organizational skills, quality execution, and attention to detail.
• Experience in luxury VM design.
• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong self-starter with good project management and team leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and accurately to cross functional partners.
• Detail oriented and strong understanding of brand code/color/materials.
• Skills: Technical drawings, project management, strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, detail oriented, strong multi-tasking skills.
• Advanced working knowledge of computer programs including Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to Travel 40% of the time (based on market needs).
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Ability to self-manage budget and timelines and work well independently.
• Deadline oriented with superior organizational skills in a fast paced environment.
• Understanding of current fashion/retail trends.
