Overview
Foot Locker Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Director of Solution Delivery that will lead the design, build, and delivery of networking, server and storage solutions for the global corporate organization and stores. This role will be responsible for leading a team of 4 managers and 40 employees and will be responsible for delivering solutions for new projects, innovation of new technologies and strategies, the lifecycle of hardware and software, and financials.
Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, develop and coach a team of Managers and Engineers across the globe
• Develop short and long-term strategies and roadmaps and communicate that strategy to the organization
• Work with suppliers to drive cost effective solutions, architectures, and external benchmarks
• Own and manage the lifecycle including capacity of servers, storage, firewalls, routers, switches, proxies, load balancers, and access points for Foot Locker corporate, stores, and external cloud hosting
• Design, build and document new innovative technologies and services
• Design, and build solutions for new projects for corporate and Foot Locker stores
• Migrate, refresh, and decommission hardware and software assets
• Develop and maintain hardware images and patching strategy
• Develop a strategy to transform the WAN network that enables elastic growth, 10GB hardware, and appropriate bandwidth for the next 3 years
• Continue the network segmentation deployment that protects company data
• Reduce the number of circuit suppliers globally
• Refresh networking hardware, access points, and backup comms in all stores. Present strategy to enable guest access points in stores including circuit costs
• Identify technical financial opportunities and execute on them
• Manage a financial budget for the Solution Delivery organization
• Oversee subject matter experts and escalation for major outages
Qualifications
• BS Degree in Information Systems or equivalent 5 years of work experience
• Flexibility to travel less than10%
• Minimum of 5 years IT or engineering experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a manager role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytic, creative, and business-focused problem solver
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills
Desired Characteristics:
• Progressive management experience with server, storage and networking
• 5 years’ experience with enterprise technologies
• Previous experience at a fortune 500 company
• ITIL and Agile certified
