The Donna Karan Company LLC, one of the world's leading fashion houses, seeks a Retail Operations Coordinator to join the Retail team based in New York City.
This position is responsible for managing daily store communication and providing store operational support. In addition this employee will coordinate resources and logistics for key projects and initiatives to improve operational effectiveness, manage and maintain vendor relationships with 3rd parties, and build and analyze reporting to support stores and executives.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately prepare and consistently communicate to stores via the Daily Email.
• Daily management of internal departmental email inbox(s)/calendar(s) and timely response to any reported issues or questions: Retail Operations, DKNY Workplace, and Retail Store Supplies.
• Preparation of the bi-weekly mailpack inclusive of fulfillment of proprietary store supplies.
• Manage budget and coordination of logistics for meetings/seminars inclusive of travel, hotels, meeting space, and meals.
• Manage daily functionality of Workplace (labor management) and support on-going store training and new hire onboarding.
• Prepare and submit vendor invoices for approval and payment.
• Review and approve store supply orders.
• Manage daily accuracy of ShopperTrak and support on-going store training and new hire onboarding.
• Partner with cross-functional groups and departments to support new store opening process.
• Contest implementation, communication and award fulfillment.
• Retail Portal content management inclusive of Policy & Procedure document updates as business requires.
• Prepare weekly business recaps for executive business review.
• Write memos, presentations, agendas, org charts, contact lists, etc. as business requires.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Store Operations/retail environment.
• Superior organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to effectively manage details on multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Local travel required.
• Prefer specialty store/mall-based retail and supervisory experience.
