Description
As our Store Design Manager, working under the direction of the Store Development Director, you will collaborate in the development of retail environments and fixture designs for the Nike Factory Store business. NFS is a growing business with 250 stores across 20 countries. You will be a key player in contributing to the success of the business through the design of new stores as well as remodeling the current fleet.
You'll use your advanced design skills to create retail spaces and facades which are aligned with the business requirements.
Working closing with the architects, project management and space planning teams you will ensure that all new stores openings and remodels are right for consumer, brand and business.
You will create designs and concepts in 2D & 3D which will be shared with key stakeholders in the NFS business as well as with the Global Store Design team.
A Store Design Specialist will report into you, whom you will lead, coach, drive and inspire.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Environmental Design
• At least 5 years retail design experience
• Retail design industry/environments and fixture design experience is preferred
• Proven ability to perform and apply design skills, including architectural design, visual presentation development and layout, proportion and scale
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to trends influencing design in general and the retail industry specifically
• Autodesk software/technology (Autocad & Revit) a must, with ability to manage electronic files and libraries for use by multiple parties.
• Ability to work cooperatively within design teams and internal business partners; sharing ideas and developing effective solutions in line with brand plans and company mission
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills in English
• Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes
• Ability to balance and coordinate multiple design concerns, including business targets, brand expression, and spatial design.
