Purpose
• Drive and support the execution of the adidas Global Sales organization’s strategy and principles by managing and cascading priorities into the Markets; and driving and championing a performance management process
• Work with Global Sales and Market Leadership to identify and address opportunities and challenges to achieve NPS, revenue, market share and profitability objectives
• Mine and analyze internal and external data and trends and apply them to improve problem solving and decision making in the Global Sales organization
• Be an active team member in cross functional teams.
• Lead the Business Development area of the Executive Board Member Global Sales
• Key support for Executive Board Member Global Sales
Key Accountabilities
• Lead or support project implementation within the global sales organization (all markets) in collaboration with market BD teams
• Play a pro-active role in global project teams of cross functional projects when relevant
• Identify and lead key x-functional projects for constant improvement of the global business set-up of both brands on a global scope
• Develop new strategic business opportunities and project manage key initiatives
• Key support for Executive Board Member Global Sales in driving SBP with all markets
• Lead and ensure the change management process into markets following the plan and be an active part of required change management
• Support the definition of the strategy and principles for the Global Sales organization
• Prepare (and present) Executive Board Member Global Sales documentation and communication to main stakeholders (SVP and MD level)
• Lead team and foster performance culture within the team developing and retain key talents
Personnel
• to staff most suitable persons in direct report positions
• to set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all reports
• to develop the functional and social skills of direct reports on and off the job
• to manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines
• to ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports as one team, internally and externally
Controlling
• to measure progress on own KPIs
• to measure progress on department KPIs
• to be accountable for performance and salary reviews of all reports
Knowledge, Capabilities and Skills
• Business Manager with proven track record of successfully managing a operational team/organization
• High leadership and managerial skills
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, negotiation)
• Proven methodological skills (e.g. Business planning, strategic development)
• Very good functional skills (e.g. Customer Service, Finance, Operations,)
• High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge
• Mental flexibility, initiative and determination
• Fluent in written and spoken English is a must. Skills and abilities in other language are a benefit
Qualifications
1. Degree in business administration or similar subject
2. Business: min of 10-12 years
3. Functional: min of 8 years in the sporting goods industry
4. Leadership: min of 8 years in management
5. Cross functional experience ideally with finance/operations / marketing / sales
6. Industry: sporting goods / retail / consumer goods
