Your Role
Fossil Group is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our Mechanical Design team to develop connected devices. This opportunity is located in the Fossil Group Engineering Office based out of Burlingame, CA.
Essential Duties:
• Create the mechanical design of Misfit consumer products
• Work closely with Product Design, Program Management, Hardware and Manufacturing teams to execute the product vision
• Establish the design integrity of each product (manufacturing documentation, tolerance stacks, manufacturing specification creation)
• Create CAD databases and BOMs
• Work closely with enclosure supply chain partners to review DFMs
• Participate the electro-mechanical integration at our CMs
• International travel to support product development (approximately 25%)

Required Skills and Experience:
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in designing consumer electronics
• Experience in designing metals, stamping, die-casting, injection molding, PCBs / FPCs, etc
• 5+ years of NX or SolidWorks experience
• Experience in creating detailed tolerance stacks
• Working knowledge of Arena (or similar) change management platform
• Ability to author professional technical documentation
• Understanding of US and international compliance requirements (FCC, ISO, etc)
• Ability to define and enforce quality standards both internally and with CMs
• Proven success managing, coaching and developing a team
