The Email Marketing Manager will own the global customer email program acting as a strategic lead and project manager to ensure that email campaigns are successfully implemented from the planning stage to execution for Tory Burch and Tory Sport. This individual will drive best practices and program enhancements to optimize customer value and campaign results and continually push email program to the forefront in relation to competitive and industry standards. Reports to the VP, CRM & Customer Intelligence.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the global email marketing program for Tory Burch and Tory Sport (branding & promotional campaigns as well as triggered/automation program)
• Drive revenue, subscriber growth and innovation in the email channel
• Identify seasonal email messaging strategy and manage and plan email calendar in partnership with cross-functional teams (Creative, Buying, Site)
• Partner closely with CRM to define audiences and build segmentation and engagement plans around key customer segments
• Partner with CRM team to create and refine business rules to establish strategies for reaching our customers
• Establish a testing roadmap and refine strategies based on results
• Oversee the development of creative briefs and clearly communicate all seasonal email needs and strategies to the Creative Team
• Attend Creative Review meetings to ensure final emails are approved by key stakeholders and delivered on time
• Manage the relationship with our email service provider and prioritization of work
• Oversee all quality assurance reviews and delivery testing to ensure the accuracy of email deployments, as well as campaign post-deployment to validate completion
• Troubleshoot technical issues and consult with IT to implement solutions
• Oversee global email reporting at both the campaign level and customer level and share out results to key stakeholders
• Manage team of email marketing associates, who oversee the daily email campaign management
• Manage the email marketing budget which entails forecasting monthly revenue goals & costs as well as management of approval and submission of invoices
• Own POV on email acquisition goals and customer lifetime value, help grow our email database and maintain high engagement rates with the current subscribers
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 5+ years relevant professional experience in email marketing
• 3+ years experience and knowledge of the ExactTarget/Salesforce platform (or a similar email platform)
• Experience with creating compelling messages for different customer segments
• Experience creating business-imapcting segments and developing ongoing plans to manage each segment
• Experience building and managing a team
• Strong project management skills managing deadlines, calendars, creative and data needs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to react to shifting priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with the ability to build relationships to achieve team goals
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Basic technical understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, web publishing, Flash, etc.
