The Store Operations – Store Technology Intern will be responsible for the process and procedures supporting key customer facing technologies such as but not limited to the POS system.
The objective of this role is to increase the Customer’s experience by analyzing, developing and implementing solutions that will Increase both the check-out process and Associate productivity.
This is an operational role that will partner with IT on suggesting and creating technology requirements to support the business needs; not a technical IT role.
Essential Task:
• Participates in the planning, development and execution of store associate training and communication for all customer facing technology releases/ changes
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all customer facing technology releases
• Supports the Project Management and planning of store technology release
• Facilitates project hindsight
• Supports critical Q4 technology store readiness task
• Analyze and apply data to support business initiatives on an ad-hoc basis
• Determines and implements process improvements to increase efficiency in stores
• Create and maintain training materials such as Register Reference Guide and applicable eLearning tools that support key project initiatives
• Determine key system enhancements that will improve the customer experience by gathering and analyzing associate and customer feedback
Essential Requirements:
• Education: Junior or Senior standing
• Retail Experience
• Experience with Cashiering
• Creating process and procedures documentation
Preferred Requirements (skills and abilities):
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze situations and solve problems
• Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
• Requires an ability to interface with multiple levels of management and departments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
