Catherines 10 week summer internship program will prepare you to work at the home office of a retailer, putting you a step ahead of your competition.

An intern in the store operations department will learn to be the liaison between the corporate office and a field consisting of nearly 400 retail stores. Working with cross-functional teams, you will be immersed in learning how information flows from a home office into the field and vice versa, assessing stores needs and bringing that information back to company leadership. You will fine tune your communication skills and learn how to be an advocate for your team and in portraying their needs.
• Provide support to the Store Operations Department with various projects and initiatives that impact the store field of almost 400 stores
• Participate in various meetings to understand the operations of the Home Office and how the impact our retail stores and online business
• Attend bi-weekly Home Store Visits
• Connect with the Catherines Store Teams to build a relationship with the them
• Understand how tasks, communication and direction is understood and executed by the store teams
Requirements
• Must be able to work 40 hours/week from June-August 2017
• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Retail experience is preferred however not required
• Strong organizational skills are required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A positive attitude and a thirst for knowledge
• Microsoft Office proficiency; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• An interest in the retail industry
