Responsibilities
As the Global Marketing Manager, Runningyou will be responsible for developing, innovating and leading New Balance’s integrated marketing efforts to drive awareness, purchase and loyalty of NB’s global portfolio of running products.
• Lead the development of global integrated marketing plans across owned, earned and paid communication channels for NB Running.
• Work closely with NB’s internal Creative Studio and external Agency partners to ensure marketing campaign effectiveness and efficiency.
• Drive a culture of continuous innovation in consumer engagement, leveraging social media, paid media and earned media to drive NB’s share of Running in global markets.
• Partner with NB’s Consumer Insights & Analytics teams to monitor marketing ROI and make continuous adjustments to maximize return.
• Partner with NB’s regional marketing leads in international markets to (1) ensure regional insights are understood and reflected in global communication planning and (2) drive consistency in messaging across US and International Markets.
• Partner with NB’s Direct to Consumer teams (NB.com and NB Retail) to ensure NB’s owned channels are the best and most current expression of our brand.
• Lead the integration of 3rd party media partnerships into communication plans.
• Directly manage Marketing associates within the NB Running Marketing team.
• Foster collaboration between NB’s global business units to ensure Running marketing works in harmony with all NB communications.
• Partner with NB’s Sports Marketing and Events teams to ensure Team NB athletes and affiliated events are leveraged in Running communications.
• Partner with the PR department on everything from campaign and product launches to management of crisis situations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA strongly preferred, with 10+ years of marketing experience.
• Footwear, apparel or athletics industry experience preferred –or-- relevant experience managing fully integrated campaigns for products or services targeting active consumer groups.
• Proven ability to hire, retain and develop high-performing marketing teams.
• Expertise in managing third party agency partners.
• Strong understanding of the creative process. Proven experience translating strategic goals into creative solutions and experience in production planning and execution.
• Familiarity with content development and distribution of content
• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and trends.
• International experience a plus.
• Travel Required.
