GENERAL FUNCTION The Planning Analyst contributes to the profit and growth of the Ray-Ban and Oakley’s eCommerce North America division by supporting the planning, purchasing and maintenance of effective inventory levels. The analyst mines data and produces reports, metrics and analysis to maximize the performance and efficiency of the planning process and achieve financial objectives (maximizing sales potential, minimizing loss from phase-outs and stock-outs).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creates and maintains sku level demand plans to be used in procuring the needed inventory flow from manufacturing; measure performance of forecasting accuracy.
• Monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate supply maximizing service level as well as identify risk from excess inventory. Identifies trends at the sku level through ABC analysis, point-of-sale data and account usage reports.
• Provides management with key analysis and direction of forecasts to maximize decision making ability.
• Conducts and provides analysis of key performance indicators (KPI) among product lines and accounts.
• Manages purchasing process for new and active items.
• Projects inventory based on forecasted sales, planned purchases and other key data.
• Conducts and provides analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) among level of stock and in transit quantities.
• Fosters consensus and collaboration in the planning process through working with the Sales, Product, Marketing and Corporate Planning teams.
• Liaises with Sales, Product, Customer Service, Corporate Planning and other cross functional groups to achieve collaboration and consensus and high level of service level to our customers.
• Supports planning operations for Oakley custom business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3 years of experience in related fields: planning, allocation, buying, or financial analysis
• Strong statistical/analytical skills, including data retrieval, organization, presentation and summary
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, strong time management skills, ownership and initiative
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with emphasis on delivery of retail financial concepts
• Ability to interact with team members and cross functional partners at all levels
• Self-motivated with ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in retail planning/buying is preferred
