Overview
The Sr. Analyst will closely manage Global Brand Management spending including invoice routing, general ledger coding, financial reporting, forecasting and monthly reconciliations. This individual will also assist Marketing Analysis Director with all marketing financial operations, working collaboratively with a range of cross-functional partners to ensure fiscal accountability and accuracy.
Responsibilities
• Track YTD spending vs. plan for 5 departments/cost centers.
• Monitor and analyze spending, forecast quarterly and remaining spend. Bring attention to potential overages or significant underages.
• Produce monthly spending reports for each cost center, distribute reports to VP's.
• Manage Global Brand queues in Ariba, supervise the routing of invoices.
• Revise expense coding and re-assign invoices as needed.
• Manage the flow of invoices to attain monthly and quarterly spending plans and meet vendor payment deadlines.
• Review and cross reference monthly general ledgers vs. spending reports, assure all expenses are booked to the correct accounts.
• Prepare monthly reclasses to or from other account lines as needed.
• Manage pre-paid catalog accounts and chargebacks to local markets.
• Assist Marketing Analysis Director with fiscal close. Determine all outstanding expenses that have not been billed or final approved and include them in the year end accrual.
• Assist Marketing Analysis Director with adhoc reports and miscellaneous projects.
Qualifications
• 5 years related job experience
• Attention to detail is critical
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, advanced level Excel user
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Problem solving capabilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• High level of competency in mathematics
Preferred:
• Accounting/Financial reporting background
• Experience with Ariba electronic invoicing
• Knowledge of Business Objects Reporting, JD Edwards or On Demand
