Description
The purpose of this position is to promote and coordinate SMI value realization efforts to deliver incremental value to the Company. With 95+% of the company currently on the SMI platform, there are enormous opportunities to reduce cost and working capital and increase net sales through better use of SMI process and technology capabilities. Continuous process improvements and adoption will also deliver significant incremental value. This individual will partner with the GPOs, RPOs and regional value realization teams to identify areas that require further process education, improvement or organizational alignment and develop action plans to rectify the situation. Another key objective of this role is to promote and implement KPIs and PI/PPIs that measure our business and process performance and identify opportunities to improve resulting in financial value. The overall savings from Global Value Creation are in excess of $200M a year for the next several years.
Support the SMI VR VP in leading the Performance Measurement and Management (PMM) project across all brands, regions and functions to ensure full adoption and use of the information to drive key management decisions. Organize and conduct training sessions for senior global and regional leaders to improve adoption. Coordinate with process owners on the gap analysis and gap closure processes to drive continuous improvements (30%).
Evaluate additional metrics needed and develop a business case to add them to the dashboard. Propose additions and enhancements to the KPI dashboard by liaising with GIS. Draft and support all communication to key stakeholders and related change management efforts (10%).
Identify value creation opportunities through better SMI process adoption, process improvements and analysis of PIs/PPIs. Participate in and facilitate workshops on global process improvements initiatives and ensure project plans are in place to deliver the targeted benefits. (20%)
For targeted Supply Chain GVC projects and initiatives, support SMI VR VP in collaborating with the project owners and project managers to develop project/resource plans and timelines, implement proper governance and tracking and reporting of progress made and value delivered. (20%)
Develop an operating model and a set of guidelines for Communities of Practice and work with the functional owners and GPOs to enhance or create CoP’s. Participate in CoP meetings to assess their effectiveness and recommend needed improvements. Identify processes and tools needed to operate CoP’s in an efficient and productive manner (10%)
Participate in preparing for SMI Value Realization Committee, GPO Alignment Forum, CoE Business Prioritization Committee and other cross-process governance groups to get maximum value from our investments (10%)
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of SMI supply chain and finance business processes.
Working knowledge of SAP and BI technology capabilities.
Proven background in project management, project coordination, tracking and reporting.
Workshop and meeting facilitation skills.
Ability to travel domestic or international 10-15% of the time to attend workshops or for regional visits.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Years of Experience: 7-10 years
