The Logistics Team is responsible for the operations and strategic direction of transportation and distribution of merchandise through J.Crew’s multi-channel supply chain. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for all day to day analysis and reporting functions for the Logistics Team as well as data and analytical support for strategic department initiatives and project management. The Logistics Coordinator will also support various administrative and strategic functions for the team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Monitors forecasted and actual volumes throughout the supply chain from origin to final delivery
• Communicates issues effectively and ensures that issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Evaluates performance for key quality measures that impact the flow of freight
• Prepares and updates business reporting as requested by the Logistics Team
• Monitor and maintain existing Parcel Network while working with the Logistics Team on efficiencies to drive improved service and reduced cost
• Develop successful peak planning tools and strategy with internal and external partners.
• Organize and build database and data mining tools
• Ability to analyze and identify savings across all modes and segments of domestic, imports and international transportation & logistics including; parcel, truckload, pool, LTL, air, ocean, and consolidation
• Support contract negotiation and analysis through data mining and quantitative analysis
• Ability to model and build analysis tools and write queries
• Identify and prioritize saving opportunities through analytical research of current and historical freight payment rates and data.
• Develop formal carrier scorecards. Develop performance reporting tools for domestic, air, ocean, consolidation, deconsolidation, etc. Develop and enhance carrier service levels through scorecards and on time performance measurement tools.
• Manage freight payment solution provider. Work with freight payment provider and carriers to manage monthly carrier payment, reporting and analysis functions.
• Develop freight claims and chargeback process – Develop, implement and manage new process
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent work experience)
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with focus on Parcel Networks
• Supply chain and retail, especially fashion/soft lines, experience a plus
• Microsoft Office skills required including strong MS Access skills

• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Physical Requirements:
• An office position which requires minimum lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, bending, walking, climbing stairs, standing and stooping
• Sit in a chair at a desk most of the time
• Ability to type and read computer screen
