Job Description Summary
This intermediate level position is responsible for developing and implementing global logistics strategies that will enhance customer satisfaction and reduce overall costs for VF Corporation. The Manager will also be responsible for preparing our annual Logistics budget and providing rate guidance across all modes globally. In addition they will work closely with SC Finance to track monthly spend and monitor all cost variances.

Individual is responsible for part of the design process with a focus on Cut and Sew, to include conceptual direction, trends, fabrications, styling, trims, technical renderings/spec sheets while adhering to design/development calendar. Designs and develops styles for specific classifications and genders from initial concepts through pre-production to achieve accurate delivery while establishing superior fits and construction
Individual will be responsible for the following:
1. Researches emerging trends and styles to formulate strategies for projected lines: Provides innovative designs and concepts to strengthen the brand image and maintain competitive edge
2. Designs key items to fit into the seasonal concepts and color palettes
3. Logo/graphic/trim development; gives direction to Graphics team and Trim department
4. Selection of fabrication under cost parameters; develop washes and wet processing treatments
5. Draw accurate flat sketches as well as detailed sketches for technical packages
6. Collaborates with technical designer to create specs for each style
7. Troubleshoots product development related problems to maintain on time delivery of showroom samples
8. Travels to overseas agents/factories for on site development.
Education/Experience: Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ BS/BA degree in Design or related field.
Skills: Knowledge and extensive experience of global sourcing of fabrics.
Knowledge of fabric construction and wet processing treatments.
Efficient in verbal and written communication. Flat sketching skills.
