Purpose and Scope: Support product design process from R&D phases to stock approval for Polo Active Knits category.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with Design and Merchandising on execution of product as defined by Line Plan/ Design Briefs.
• Generate detailed hand drawn sketches, Adobe Illustrator flats; CAD multiple colorways.
• Prepare and manage flat and detail sketched in Illustrator to support construction hand-offs.
• Attend required meetings to provide updates/advice to all partners development status.
• Communicate product definition to merchandising team to support accurate linesheet/ GFE upload.
• Work in PLM to load, update and maintain information as required.
• Work with Fabric R&D, and Trim Operations to understand status of all material and key components for both submits and samples.
• Gain understanding of accurate definition, costing, and production lead times of materials and key components.
• As directed, facilitate approvals of material components not related to fabric- (ie., trim, labels, logos).
• Support manager in design meetings, as well as post meeting re-caps, updates.
• Stay current with competitive market, new materials, innovation.
Qualifications:
• College degree in Fashion Design preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Need to be highly detail oriented, thorough, accurate and dedicated to seeing a project through on time.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated worker who enjoys a fast paced dynamic work environment.
• Illustrator and Photo Shop required.
• Experience with PLM (or similar), Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
