Purpose and Scope: Manage the Childrenswear business and nurture a mutually profitable business relationship with all accounts and their respective AE.
• Key Focus to include:
◦ Compile, analyze and forecast market trends applying statistical data and techniques to explain economic phenomena.
◦ Develop and implement assortment plans for all product categories to support the Polo Brands financial strategy.
◦ Develop economic point f view in forecasting business trend. Forecast production and consumption of resources/ supply.
◦ Partner with KAM to ensure seasonal assortment plans meet the business objectives and needs for each account in collaboration with Buyers.
◦ Provide advice and consultation on economic relationships to the business with key accounts.
◦ Ensure high level of professional and proactive communication with all levels of account management structure to drive business towards plan achievement.
◦ Maintain all door cluster sales information and databases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Financial Planning Process
◦ Collaborate with Sales and the accounts to prepare the financial class plans and flow.
◦ Validate all finalized class plans with Manager of Account Planning/ Senior Director prior to building assortments.
◦ Compile and analyze data to report on acocunt specific trends in the marketplace, utilizing statistical history.
• Assortment Planning Process
◦ Build assortment plans by account based on Merchandise Planning targeted recommendations.
◦ Review assortment plans with Manager of Account Plannng/ Senior Director before publishing the plan.
◦ Review account orders immediately following market with Manager of Account Planning/ Senior Director.
◦ Create Projections by key- item style by accoun; forecast production and consumption by style.
• Analysis and Forecasting Process
◦ Analyze Account size selling with KAM and make appropriate adjustments to Account size scales.
◦ Bi-monthly meetings to review acocunt sales performance.
• Reporting Process
◦ Prepare account recaps and review with Manager of Account Planning prior to management meetings.
◦ Selling Analysis by style, color, classification, delivery.
◦ EOM Sales and Stock by Door.
◦ Competitive Mall Analysis.
◦ Store Fixture Database.
◦ History of Doors File.
• Account Management and Communication
◦ Develop a strong working relationship with the each KAM and their account's management team.
Qualifications:
• College degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail assortment planning and economical analysis experience required in the apparel industry.
• Strong forecasting, modelling and analytical- mathematical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Self motivated and organized.
• Strong product knowledge in premium/ luxury segment of apparel industry.
