Clarks is seeking a Regional Inventory Planner for Women's Market to join our Clarks Americas team. The Inventory Planner will analyze, and execute inventory forecasts across three seasons. This person will be managing products through the lifecycle and ensuring that inventory is in alignment with the business unit budget and quarterly finance forecasts.
Core Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for executing purchase order placement.
2. Creating purchases orders, working with factory lead times and capacities, determining color percentages and SKU profile, converting work orders into purchase orders in SAP system and releasing Purchase Orders to Production Planning each month.
3. Responsible for data entry, including setting up SKU buffers.
4. Maintain Plan and Forecast Flags for each style.
5. Create and maintain SKU profiles.
6. Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data into the system, including buffer stock settings, capacities, lead-times, color/size/width profiles, planning, forecasting and product life-cycle flags.
7. Closely monitoring shipments, customer orders, returns, and sell through percentages at retail.
8. Monitoring in season available inventory.
9. Analyze customer orders at the SKU level to ensure proper inventory balance and agreement with the consensus forecast, tracking and coordinating purchase orders for on-time delivery to the logistics center and communicating inventory availability and delays to relevant company departments.
10. Communicating system factory routing and system capacity needs to supply chain department in order for supply chain systems to operate properly.
11. Analyze historical inventory cycles and distribution channels.
12. Adapt and react to market trends during each forecast cycle.
13. Assist in managing in season inventory management, including reviewing stock sales ratios, responding to changing sales trend, identifying risk and opportunities to ensure plan sales, executing margins and markdowns are achieved to meet budget.
14. Tracking in season at once business.
15. Responsible for distributing and using reports to monitor product, sales, stock and margin performance across all channels versus related regional buying and merchandising KPI's.
16. Support forecasting and buying activities, collaborating with Category management and Merchandise planning teams to achieve a realistic initial and fill in forecast.
17. Measure previous sell in season fill rates.
18. Create ABC 80/20 analysis reports identifying what styles and patterns make up total percentage of overall product sell in.
19. Contribute to product development process to plan and move current inventories and develop future product forecasts.
20. Deliver to Product planning monthly open to buy plans for current buying season and an extended 18 month strategic open to buy plan for future product seasons.
21. Provide forecast reviews,account and channel distribution reports to business unit.
Essential Knowledge:
• Bachelor's Degree, with 1-3 years related experience.
• Experience in footwear demand and supply planning, merchandising.
• Knowledge of different business operating models-- Retail, Franchise, Factory, MCR, Wholesale.
• Supply Chain-- Merchandise metrics and supply chain logistics.
• Merchandise planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Successful demand and supply planning, buying and merchandising experience.
• Experience in key distribution channels-- wholesale, retail, franchise and digital.
• Understanding of overall business operations.
Technical Skills:
• Organizational skills to coordinate feedback from a variety of sources.
• Practical understanding of demand planning and inventory management processes.
• Ability to analyze trends and use the information to effectively plan and forecast.
• Strong analytical and verbal skills.
• Presentation skills.
• Decision making skills.
• Solid computer skills including the following tools:
◦ Data warehouse/data mart query and report development tools.
◦ Microsoft Excel (formulas, linking)
◦ Planning software (MID, Arthur, NSB/STS/MMS, I2, Retek, Evant, ect.)
