Purpose of role:
This management position will report to the Director- Ecommerce and will focus on Site Optimization & Innovation.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and highly organized as he/she will be the primary resource to manage the product development and production process for the US (Editorial Site). The candidate must be able to prioritize initiatives for each of the US & UK teams as well as facilitate all the required meetings.
Key Job Accountabilities:
• Owns the development and execution of the Roadmap for Site Optimization, Enhancements and Innovation
• Ongoing development of websites to improve customer experience and conversion in partnership with International Digital Systems Team
• Create project plans and ensure project designs are optimized for scalability, security and operational support
• Responsible for all web operations, interacting with IT resources in UK/US and outsourced tech resource in US for major technical integrations and site enhancements (JIRA)
Work with UK release planning team to coordinate project releases and communication of progress; escalate issues as necessary
• Owns scheduling, production, publishing and management of digital content and the production of email to support US Websites
Manage risks: Anticipate bottlenecks, manage project prioritization, and balance the business needs versus technical considerations to deliver/enhance business results
• Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations and budget oversight 5%
• Manage Associate Producer & Designers 15%
Other Responsibilities
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of The Body Shop including minimizing the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace. Report potential risks, near misses and real accidents to relevant managers.
Experience:
• Experience as a Project Manager on large scale or multiple projects.
• Understanding of the eCommerce space.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Must be flexible, work well independently, and have a team-oriented approach.
• Experience developing Internet products and technologies.
• Strong technical abilities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
• 5+ years Product management or product design experience.
