Job Summary
Merchandising is a critical function of any business, and at TOMS it’s no different. It starts and ends with the consumer, and is expressed primarily through story telling. As the Merchandise Operations & Analytics Manager, your primary role is to conceptualize, create, develop, and refine the reports and tools necessary to drive intelligent Merchandising strategy and decision making. Your role is invaluable in providing real, tangible, and timely insights into the business, both at the Regional and Global level. You are highly analytical, but also creative, and have the ability to blend both the art with the science of Merchandising. And as such, you will be successful in working cross functionally with the Global and Regional teams to deliver the right product, at the right time to the marketplace. You will also champion the TOMS experience for the brand by working closely with your colleagues to bring merchandising reporting and analysis to life. You will be an integral part of the Go-To-Market process, delivering presentations, tools, reporting (both regularly cadenced and ad hoc) and analysis that drives insights and adds value to the Merchandising team at large. As a leader you will be key in developing the talent of the Merchandising Coordinators that report to you.
Preferably, the ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related professional experience and should be willing to work as part of a team. The ability to interact cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Planning, Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams is essential. The ability to work under pressure, think strategically, and act tactically, being open minded and flexible are all considered key qualities of a Merchandise Operations Analyst.

Essential Responsibilities
Merchandise Report Creation
• Create methodology and reporting structure for Weekly/Monthly/Seasonal Reporting tools to support the Merchandising and Design teams
• Establish quality, on-time relevant data and reporting to help drive merchandising strategy and decision making process
• Prepare and deliver findings to the Merchandising team with clear action points and recommendations to drive merchandising excellence
Merchandise Report Refinement and Ad Hoc Analysis
• Continually refine the current/newly created Merchandise Reporting tools
• Generate Ad Hoc reporting as needed to facilitate the Merchandising team.
Data Maintenance & Integrity
• Ensure the integrity of all reports and tools created/used by the Merchandising and Design team, including all weekly/monthly/seasonal reports and the Merchandise Line Sheet (MLS)
Calendar and Cadence of: Long Range Planning (LRP) Financial Metrics and Seasonal Milestones
• Facilitate LRP and Financial metric management throughout the Concept to Customer journey. This includes understanding the cadence of seasonal milestones, and the required support of the Merchandising team for both inputs and outputs necessary for those milestones.
Channel Hindsight Analysis
• Establish Channel Hindsight tools, working cross-functionally with counterparts to facilitate their construction and delivery.
Talent Development of a team of coordinators
• Lead, train, and develop a team of (2) Merchandise Coordinators that support the Merchandising & Design department.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Ability to engineer data – source it, bring meaning to it, and continually improve its quality (5+ yrs)
• Advanced Systems and Software knowledge of: SAP, Business Objects, Tableau, COGNOS, Excel, MS Office Suite, etc. (5+ yrs)
• Proficiency for calculating/monitoring KPI Metrics within the Merchandising and Design sphere (5+ yrs)
• Strong business acumen and an understanding of how the different business units integrate with Merchandising and Design (3-5 yrs)
• Project Management skills (5+ yrs)
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills (3-5 yrs)
Education and Experience
• College Degree, with a preference for Business, Economics, or Data Sciences
• 3-5 Years of experience in a role of similar nature
• 2+ Years of People management and team leadership
• Experience in the Footwear and/or Fashion Industries
