We are currently looking for a Design Market Manager to join our team in Miami.
As a Design Market Manager, you will:
Identify and develop new business opportunities and transition this business to frontline sellers. You will also work to build and maintain relationships with design firms to create long-term sales “funnels.” You will represent Haworth’s full range of products, knowledge, and services to influence design, specification, and selection of Haworth for project opportunities within assigned design firms.
Do you have the following required qualifications?
• Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, industrial design, marketing or communications AND 3 years design and/or marketing experience, including 2 years experience in office furniture or closely related industry(commercial lighting or flooring) with proven history of selling design concepts/ideas leading to profitable business results and identifying and developing new business opportunities within design and/or architecture community; including experience facilitating collaborative meetings and building network of business relationships.
• OR - Associates degree in business, architecture, interior design, industrial design, marketing or communications AND 7 years design and/or marketing experience, including 2 years experience in office furniture or closely related industry(commercial lighting or flooring) with proven history of selling design concepts/ideas leading to profitable business results and identifying and developing new business opportunities within design and/or architecture community; including experience facilitating collaborative meetings and building network of business relationships.
• OR if no degree – 11 years design and/or marketing experience, including 2 years experience in office furniture or closely related industry (commercial lighting or flooring) with proven history of selling design concepts/ideas leading to profitable business results and identifying and developing new business opportunities within design and/or architecture community; including experience facilitating collaborative meetings and building network of business relationships.
• Ability to travel daily away from “home” offices up to 70 percent of time in assigned market with occasional overnight travel, depending on assigned territory; may have occasional international travel, depending on assignment and/or training needs.
• Experience in commercial design.
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in Miami, FL without relocation assistance.
Do you have the following preferred qualifications?
• Fluent in both writing and speaking Spanish.
• 3 years experience in support role to Architecture and Design (A&D) firms.
• Strong familiarity and network within Miami market.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
• Selling skills, e.g., prospect qualification; lead generation; new business development; account penetration; strategic, conceptual, issues-based, and consultative selling; negotiation; and contracts (closing).
• Proven ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with all levels of end-user clients, influencers, dealer customers, and internal cross-functional teams.
• Strong networking skills to mine new end-user business opportunities with design firms and other key business influencers, real estate, and others.
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills
