North America IT Director, eCommerce
Position Overview:
The North America IT Director, eCommerce is an internal client management position supporting the Digital Integration Organization. In this role, the Director will lead development of the technology strategy for Coca-Cola North America's (CCNA) B2B2C and D2C ecommerce initiatives, partnering with other IT leaders, system stakeholders such as CONA, CBS and our bottler network, key customers including Amazon and Walmart, cross-functional teams and external agencies and vendors to build and develop the platforms and capabilities needed to operate a world class eCommerce organization capable of scaling to meet revenue growth objectives.
Function Specific Activities:
Position Role & Responsibilities:
• Leads eCommerce technology strategy and approach, ensuring implementation of new technology meets current and future needs for the business as well as fits into our overall IT architecture.
• Work across multiple client teams including strategy, marketing, operations, and customer engagement as well as Coca-Cola system stakeholders to develop technology priorities and solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the eCommerce team by providing thought leadership around new technology solutions and investments to operate the business.
• Work closely with finance, IT leadership and the client to identify and prioritize annual capital funding. Drive, track, and manage the CCNA IT Capital budgets. Manage governance process and all required IT approvals.
• Identify the necessary business funding and support required to support on-going operations of new technology capabilities and platforms and communicate these needs to the client.
• Provide vendor management for all projects providing regular oversight of external or internal development and support to insure deliverables, timelines and budgets meet expectations. Serve as a point of escalation and communication as needed for problem-solving.
• Ensure alignment with other enterprise and Coca-Cola system technologies and strategies.
• Work closely with procurement to evaluate third party tools when internal tools cannot meet requirements and make recommendations on tools and implementation partners
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, and proactively communicate issues and decisions.
Skills:
• Strong communication and client management skills including an aptitude for translating technical concepts into simple terminology for business clients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, be decisive under ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines.
• Aptitude and interest in new and emerging technologies.
• Comfortable and confident when speaking with clients as a technology leader and able to translate technical concepts into simple terminology for business client of various levels.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend sound conclusions and implementation strategies.
• Team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
• Basic knowledge of key Coca-Cola system technologies such as SAP, Salesforce, Amazon Web Services and Adobe/Magento and Data and Analytics stack.
• Agile/Project management certifications
• Consulting experience
QUALIFICATION
Required Experience
• 8+ years of experience in IT Operations and/or application support.
• 5+ year of Project/Portfolio management with a demonstrated ability to navigate matrixed organizations to facilitate system optimizations which maximize enterprise architectural best practices.
• Experience in iterative software delivery methodologies – Agile, SCRUM, etc.
• Working knowledge of associated platforms and technologies, including Salesforce, Alteryx, Magento, Adobe CQ/Experience Manager, Amazon Web Services, Database (Hadoop, nosql API framework, Analytics (Web
Education
• BA/BS required
• BA/BS in Information Technology, Business, Management or industry-related curriculum preferred
• MBA preferred
