The Opportunity
Rodan + Fields is looking for a highly talented and passionate individual who can lead the annual long-range planning cycle, provide the analytics/business case to drive Corporate investment decisions and oversee the Corporate revenue forecast based on trends and business initiatives.
We are seeking a Sr. Director to join the FP&A team at Rodan + Fields to partner with cross functional leadership to cultivate revenue strategies and operational efficiencies through analysis related to investments in Global Expansion, Product Innovation, Operational efficiencies, and Technology. The role will require leadership through a long-range planning lens, with focus on near term annual revenue trends, hind-sighting and metric development, and initiative quantification that influences a full P&L outlook.
You will be focused on building long-term business value by conducting strategic risk and opportunity analysis for long term Revenue and Earnings growth. In the role, you will be responsible for business case justification and executive presentations. Success will depend on the ability to establish yourself as a trusted advisor through comprehensive financial analysis and strong executive presence. In addition to long-range planning, you will play a strong leadership role in assessing and forecasting revenue opportunities and risks and work closely with the Field Sales and Brand teams to understand business drivers, as well as support development of action plans to deliver annual revenue and profit objectives.
Responsibilities
• Lead the company’s strategic financial planning process cross-functionally analyzing financial contribution between revenue growth driven by new market development, innovation, and technology investments, while expanding corporate profitability
• Collaborate with strategic cross functional partners to identify business opportunity/risk and to consolidate financial impacts for senior leadership buy-in
• Develop framework and support Corporate Brand margin strategy by outlining key guardrails for innovation and process to gain executive approval of margin targets and economic contribution for all new product launches
• Ensure team provides comprehensive economic analysis of Corporate initiatives across both Product and Commercial gate processes; maintain oversight of product assumptions/forecasts/results to drive key learnings and improve accuracy
• Drive annual situational alignment process that integrates commercial calendar key learnings, macro business trends, and key corporate insights to inform future company strategic roadmap
• Bridge FP&A and key cross functional processes to establish clear and consistent practices through which the company can align on long range plan targets in which both initiatives and operational roadmaps can be developed for company evolution
• Own revenue planning and forecasting for Corporate FP&A integration (annual, quarterly, monthly) measuring accuracy and assessment of drivers of variance, as well as business partnership to help deliver annual revenue objectives
• Lead financial analysis of marketing mix strategy and post promotional analysis providing insights and recommendations
• Oversee development of Brand P&Ls and performance reporting to build organizational literacy on margin drivers and lead cross functional partnership to deliver margin accretion
• Create framework for team structure and hire top talent
Qualifications
• 12+ years of professional experience, ideally in management consulting or analytical role in retail/direct selling/franchise
• Develops an analytical framework within which analysis is conducted with minimal oversight
• Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills
• Builds collaborative relationships to influence partners
• Applies creativity in generating solutions to problems
