Job Description: Perform essential oil market research and analysis. Create and manage reporting and supply planning analysis tools for the doTERRA Strategic Sourcing Team.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work with the doTERRA Strategic Sourcing Managers and Sourcing Development Team to gather key market information, provide summarized reports and drive the development of global multi-year (5+) sourcing growth plans
• Develop and manage reports and tools for assessing the supply availability and planning strategy for high priority essential oils, as well as long-term supply and/or future production capacity
• Assist the Director of Global Strategic Sourcing Development to coordinate with the doTERRA Planning, Business Intelligence,SAP, and key Market managers to ensure timely and accurate forecasts are being made and input into the various doTERRA systems
• Build a reportingsystem supported by market data that accurately conveysto Sourcing Managers, Strategic Sourcing Leadership, and the doTERRA Executive Committee which areas that will require investment, technological intervention, diversification, training, etc. to improve ongoing essential oil supply
• Work with the Strategic Sourcing Development Team to develop specific proposals relative to these high priority oils
• Collect and help produce regional reports demonstrating market capacity and relevant data for consolidated global reports
• Coordinate with the Strategic Sourcing Special Initiatives Team for developing projects to be “build ready” and then provide needed support to ensure successful implementation
• Consistently apply market leading methods and processes to support the successful implementation of doTERRA Sourcing initiatives
• Identify new oils for new product development review and consideration
• Gain a solid understanding and conduct research regarding essential oil properties, regions of availability, growing conditions, distillation processes, and major suppliers
Job Qualifications
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in business management, finance, economics, accounting, supply chain/operations management, or other equivalent experience required
• Strong business acumen and ability to improve processes and identify cost savings in supply chains
• Ability to provide outward-minded leadership and oversight amongst individuals and in team settings
• Excellent people skills, sharp attention to detail, and strong analytical skills
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel required and prior experience with SAP strongly preferred
• Quick learner and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects concurrently
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision in identifying tasks that need to be completed
• Overseas experience required, preferably in a work setting
• Foreign language fluency (speak, read, write) preferred
• This position is in an office setting, must be able to be stationary for extended periods of time
• Able to communicate effectively with others
