Best-known as the manufacturer of GORE-TEX® fabrics for garments and footwear, Gore manufactures a wide range of high-performance fabrics engineered to protect wearers in demanding environments—from explorers on the North Pole to firefighters, soldiers, and emergency workers. We are looking for a Vertical Business Supply Chain Leader to join our team in Elkton, Maryland.

In this role, you will support a complex global team servicing the Brands Gore® Wear and Sitka® Gear with compliance, sourcing, planning and logistics located in multiple regions: US, EU and Asia. In this commitment, the Associate will provide direct Leadership to Functional Leaders within the Supply Chain Team, partner with Functional Divisional and Corporate Leaders and lead the strategic direction of our holistic Verticals Consumer Business End-to-End Supply Chain.

Responsibilities include:
• Being accountable for the overall strategic end-to-end supply chain direction and results which is in aligned with the Brand needs and supported from the Fabrics divisional Supply Chain
• Driving alignment of the Supply Chain team priorities with Brand strategies, growth drivers and future product strategies
• Taking ownership for ensuring Supply Chain Leadership Team and Associates effectively execute the strategy
• Being accountable to manage Supply Chain performance to plan via agreed SCOR metrics ensuring continuous on time delivery of goods at the right costs and quality
• Owning size, organizational design and overall effectiveness of global Supply Chain team – including talent management and ensuring effectiveness leadership is on place within the team
• Identifying, owning and possibly driving large complex projects to continuously improve effectiveness
• Ensuring appropriate evaluation of investments is in place
• Being accountable for developing and maintaining a global sourcing strategy; ensuring a scalable portfolio of apparel supply partners is established and effectively maintained
• Demonstrating a financial acumen based on an understanding of vertical business models including approaches for channel specific assortments and inventory as defined by the Brand teams
• Championing the practice of our culture through both words and actions, embodying our culture and positively influencing others to do the same; create and maintain positive associate experiences
• Working freely across global regions with respect for cultural differences and expectations
• Maintaining a continuous improvement mindset; work with a sense of urgency and due diligence
• Strongly applying End-to-End thinking
• Establishing expectations, objectives and priorities for global functional capability champions within the Supply Chain Team
• Partnering with the BU, Brands and Shared Service leadership teams to ensure diverse perspectives are considered when developing strategies and priorities
• Effectively developing others through sponsoring, mentoring and coaching – inclusive leadership with a value for diversity within the team
• Developing an understanding of business metrics and how to improve them through effective action and influencing of others
• Ensuring that appropriate resources are available to support business needs, including exploration, development and commercialization efforts
• Leading supply chain improvements through business modeling, organizational design, associate development, value chain analysis, and integrated strategic planning as well as project work
Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with Technical, Operations or Business emphasis
• A minimum of 7 years' of demonstrated End-to-End Supply Chain leadership experience in a consumer apparel wholesale brand
• Proven leadership skills – building teams, leading other leaders, coaching, development of others and resolving team conflicts in a global setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%
Desired Job Qualifications:
• Experience with New Product Development in all phases of commercialization
• Experience and ability applying the SCOR model supporting data driven decisions
• Successful track record integrating and influencing across functions globally in matrix organization
• Track record of change management, positive influencing and conflict resolution skills
• Open to objective challenge, demonstrated flexibility, and the ability to influence and gain followership through modeling and practicing our cultural principles and core values while maintaining a results driven focus
• Continuous improvement mindset - willingness to challenge current thinking and organizational models and precepts
• Ability to deal with significant ambiguity and rapid change along with a willingness and eagerness to learn
• Expertise in global supply chains, S&OP processes, working knowledge of ERP systems and planning concepts and tools
