I.- Strategy Team Scope
The Strategy team has been established within the NA ISC organization to drive:
• Strat Plan development, option analysis and preparation for execution excellence within the Region. This includes working on a clear definition of the transformation journey of our supply chains toward ideal state and the proper planning of building blocks for SCR program. Partnership with the Business Leadership and cross functional leaders to develop and input NA Integrated Supply Chain strategy and tactics based on the changing business need. All this to support delivering year on year Business commitments.
• Lead the Supply Chain Design (SND), drive strong supply chain analytics and modeling to design, validate and/or identify NA E2E Supply Chain opportunities to increase value to the business. Building sustainable capabilities within the organization to ensure MDLZ NA becoming a best in class supply chain. SND capability with the NA organization becoming an integral part of business processes supporting decision taking capabilities.
• Provide Robust SCR governance to the Region ensuring executional excellence of the program. Partnering with NA Engineering and Strategy to build and sustain PMO, SPL and project management capability.
• Own and drive the W1N program to build and sustain the right capabilities needed to deliver the ISC results as well as to drive the behaviors, and key insights to influence and guide the organization.
II.- Position Accountabilities
The Assoc. Director Network & Productivity NA role is accountable for:
• Lead the Supply Network Design Team (SND)
◦ Identify, build and lead forward (bring to life) a pipeline of productivity/margin/sourcing and growth opportunities that become part of the Strat plan, SCR and AC commitments. Ensure overall sufficiency. Work close with the Finance Strategy leader to ensure any options or input to the plan can be clearly translated into Business benefit or impact
◦ Focus on a customer driven supply chain with route to markets maximizing Service and Efficiency. Working directly with CS&L leadership as an advocate and representative on the integrated Supply chain Supply Network Design team.
◦ Develop, setup and lead capabilities and integrated solutions for the Supply Network Design team. Ensure SND capability becomes part of the DNA of NA organization.
◦ Lead and coach a highly skilled team of professionals driving the Supply Network design in cooperation with cross functional disciplines. Prepare and provide analytical requirements driving the best end to end decisions. Provide clear goals and KPI’s ensuring the success of the team and subsequently the business.
◦ Identify and develop new talent for the team, both internally and externally, to continue to drive excellence with skill and experience ensuring effective deployment of the SND capability
◦ Communicate across organization on future state design, identify impacts and gain alignment to ensure successful implementation. Link as appropriate with key leadership to influence and drive re-invention of supply chain
◦ Active lead role on building the NA data base and the “data avenues” to sustain it current.
◦ Yearly refresh of the Overall NA SND model.
• Lead a significant portion of building blocks on Strat Plan including actively look for optimizations and opportunities on NA SP plan (Internal, external, EM sourcing strategy, manufacturing…etc).
◦ Bringing together and Leading the multifunctional teams needed to assess in detail (E2E) a selected group of options included on the SP plan (short term, SP and SCR); this to ensure sufficiency, visibility and optimization of the different proposals being elevated to the business.
• Lead the analysis on capacity plan needed to balance CD over SP. Incorporate tangible options to deal with gaps.
• Owns one (or more) strategy(ies), system(s) and tool(s) as part of W1N. Leads one of the horizontal networks as needed
• Finally, be a strong couch for Sr. Manager Strategy Optimization and SCR PMO
III.- Assoc. Director Network & Productivity NA will report to Director of NA ISC Strategy
This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain a comprehensive understanding of both commercial & supply chain aspects of the business through the strategy lens of our ISC transformation roadmap. This is also a great opportunity to make a step change on margins and service program management and develop strong leadership within the NA organization.
End to end analyses, recommendations and exposure to senior management are part of the day to day role
A collaborative management style with the ability to build partnerships with client groups and key stakeholders in order to effectively influence and drive business performance is a must have.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Production or SC or Industrial Engineering – MBA/CPA preferred
• 10 plus years of experience in Supply Chain analysis, Operations (manufacturing, CS&L) and Program and project Management
• Self-motivation in a fast pace environment
• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) and ability to lead a team
• Vast experience as Project/Program Management and systems
• Strong Coaching skills
• Critical Thinking: leverage analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful financial strategies and solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and basic knowledge of general business concepts
• P&L background / experience along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts
• Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment
• Business Partnering: proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively managing those relationships
