Position Summary:
The Sanitation employee is a member of Reinhart’s Meat Processing Facility and is primarily responsible for conducting the necessary tasks to ensure the sanitary conditions of the meat processing facility, which enables all customer orders to be completed by established deadlines. This position provides a great opportunity to gain exposure to a key function at Reinhart and grow within our organization.
Required Skills and Experience:
• High School degree or GED Required,
• HACCP-related experience preferred
• Foodservice/ Distribution experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 85lbs
• Ability to work at a fast pace while standing, walking, bending, and squatting throughout the entire shift.
• This position requires contact with cleaning chemicals
• This position must be willing to work 3rd shift hours, extended schedules including weekends and holidays
Preferred Skills and Experience:
College degree preferred
6 months related experience preferred
Food service distribution experience.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Responsible for conducting the day to day cleaning functions of meat processing equipment and processing areas. The Sanitation employee will work as a part of the sanitation team to ensure the sanitary conditions of the processing facility. This includes possessing the skills to perform the functions listed below.
• Maintain cleanliness of various surfaces including meat processing equipment, floors, walls, and warehouse areas.
• Highly organized, detail orientated and capable of multi-tasking.
• Ability to operate the following equipment:
◦ Power Foamer
◦ Pressure Washer
◦ Forklift
◦ Pallet Rider
• All other projects and duties as assigned.
