Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Sales is responsible for directing the activities of the assigned sales channel to achieve the efficient and profitable sale of the company’s products to targeted levels. Includes supervising, leading, and assisting sales personnel in selling the product line to targeted markets as well as establishing and executing required sales and product training programs. Assists sales personnel in formulating plans, goals, and objectives relating to target volume prospects and additional product penetration within existing accounts.
Manages a staff of Director of Sales, National Account Managers, Business Development Managers and/or Representatives to achieve company goals and objectives.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Responsible for annual channel budget.
• Responsible and accountable for the continuous daily pursuit of major prospective customers as well as expand sales to existing accounts through new and exciting products and services.
• Develop and maintain account relationships with key executive level leaders
• Formulate sales plans for current and prospective accounts, and monitor prospecting activities.
• Participate in formulation of short term and long range planning regarding market share and product mix. Recommend and monitor sales and profit plans, goals, and quotes.
• Monitor and analyze industry market trends, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts.
• Review major account activities with assigned Account Manager to increase/maintain maximum volume and product penetration.
• Provide Purchasing Department with product usage forecasts/sales trends information.
• Review and analyze daily sales statistics.
• Partner with Marketing Department in developing strategic marketing plan.
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
• Meet with key customers, assisting sales staff with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
• Conduct sales and training meetings as required, coach sales department regarding salesmanship techniques and pricing.
• Provide guidance to sales staff regarding quotes, customer returns, and other sales-related questions.
• Build morale within the Sales Department.
• Perform annual performance appraisal reviews.

• Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Ten plus years of related B2B / enterprise experience with sales leadership and progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems to resolve or resolve issues.
• Travel required
