Description:
As the Director of Commercial Finance & Business Strategy, you will partner with Business Unit leadership to drive the performance of the region. This position is responsible for developing insights and driving analysis that inform decision makers across Bimbo Bakeries USA Sales Organization Business Teams. The Director of Commercial Finance & Business Strategy will play a key role in creating strategies that grow Sales and Profit by: Channel, Brand and Geography.
• Collaborate with BU Leadership to: lead and define overall BU 3 to 5 year strategy and objectives that align with our overall business direction, quantify the value of opportunities, and ultimately assess progress against goals.
• Work with market area team in both Commercial and Supply Chain to assess and align businesses with brand and customer development objectives.
◦ This will include liaison with corporate marketing teams, national account teams and local sales functions to evaluate alignment of strategies.
◦ Evaluate investments and strategies to determine their impact on distribution & supply chain
• Work with the customer planning teams to understand the value and expected impact of customer investments, forecast impact on business and provide insights on past and future programs. This includes reconciliation to broader business and financial goals, insights driving results and recommendations on how to improve end result.
• Collaborate with FP&A and assess performance and alignment of current strategy vs. established goals and market dynamics; work with leadership to create and implement course correction / enhancement.
• Identify opportunities to improve business results; identifying ways to manage cost and enhance earnings.
• Support Sr. Staff in the development of presentations and business review materials that highlight performance, bring clarity to key issues and support recommendations.
• Provide comprehensive business analysis and insights consisting of multi-functional perspectives, multi-variant analysis and identify key drivers that generate results.
• Lead the development of rolling Sale forecasts.
• Provide customer, trade, product and related program investment analytics.
Position Requirements:
• Degree in Finance, Business Admin or related field required. MBA a plus but not required.
• CPG or DSD experience required.
• At least 10 years of progressive analytic experience required.
• Prior experience with the application of financial and accounting concepts, maintaining a strong internal control environment and executing fiduciary responsibilities.
• Comfortable leveraging data resources, BI tools and building financial / business models in MS Excel.
• Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines; well organized and detail oriented.
• Strong written and oral communication skills along with MS Powerpoint presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to determine key issues and develop effective action plans.
