Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position are the ownership of Sales analytics, score-carding and reporting. This person will manage the Total US Sales score-carding process and provide actionable Performance Management and Business Insights. The Sales Analytics Manager will also support of analytical needs of 300 Sales users who leverage the team’s Business Intelligence tools every day. In addition, the successful candidate will work cross functionally with the Information Technology, Finance, Sales Execution and Field Sales teams to lead projects, drive sales initiatives, understand business trends and to continuously enhance, support and streamline Sales analytics and tools.
Principle Accountabilities:
60% – Analytics, Scorecards & Reporting – Lead the process to develop key scorecards and analytics in order to provide insights on core business activities (DSMPs) that focus and drive the Field Sales team to improve performance and execute against objectives. Proactively determine process performance opportunities. Determine ways to incent the Sales Team to focus on key areas that drive business results by leading incentives and awards. Look for innovative ways to leverage data to provide insights that identify opportunites or issues including predictive measures. Visualization of the information for quick and easy to understand actionable information. Create ad-hoc analysis for key business inititatives.
30% – Data Governance – Manage the information needed by the Field Sales Team to execute against objectives. Lead the effort cross functionally with the Customer teams, Sales Teams, Information Technology and Master Data to ensure that Sales has actionable information that is accurate and accessible. Work to streamline, sytematize and communicate the process. Lead requirements and testing efforts.
10% – Front Line Sales Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to information needed by the Field Sales team. Lead continuous improvement of the support process and provide insights on needed enhancements or development of Field Sales capabilities.
Job Complexity:
• Lead the process to create the DSMP scorecard monthly for the entire Sales Organization. Inteact with all levels of the organization to pull in the right information and determine insights.
• Ensure that the Front Line Sales team has the right information to execution deals and events sold in by the Customer teams.
• Identify insights witin large sets of data. Communicate and influence Sales Team members to improve performance and enforce best practices.
• Troubleshoot process issues. Determine new ways of working more efficiently.
• Work cross functionally to determine the right information needed for the Sales team to provide focus on the largest opportunity areas.
• Streamline current process to enable more advanced analytical capabilities
• Test new tools and data enhancement
• Implement controls to ensure data accuracy.
• Determine innovative ways to provide actionable information to the Field Sales team while providing more time for them to focus on Selling
• Bachelors degree in finance, analytics or related field
• Masters Degree in Business Administration preferred
• 10+ years of Business Insights
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) business model
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint
• Experience with MicroStrategy, Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong influencing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service interface skills
• Ability to work independantly and lead area of responsibility
• Tech-savy, Ability to quickly pick up new technologies – tablet (iPad), Business Intelligence systems, Mobile applications
• Experience developing reports and dashboards
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
