The HP in-house media team is responsible for planning, buying and maintain programmatic and biddable ad campaigns in multiple DSPs and Social platforms. The Digital Media Director roleis responsible for the team’s overall effectiveness, with the individual leveragingtheir expertise in managing the operations for digital media reporting and analysis to ensure HP’s advertising objectives are met while maintaining a balance of performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects ofin-house programmatic media buying efforts ensuringstrategic and tactical excellence as well as operational rigor.
• Guidethe development of this new team, including the establishment of best practices, definition of roles and responsibilities, and then ensure adherence to that guidance.
• Hire, train, and cultivate the team of 20+ programmatic, social and search practitioners.
• Serve as a motivational leader, leading by example and nurturing talent.
• Build ties with Marketing stakeholders, effectively advocating for the capability’s value at the CMO-level.
• Streamline workflow to create the space for agile marketing.
• Develop and cultivate thought leadership within the team, and through partnership with the wider Marketing organization.
Qualifications:
• Approximately 7-10 years of experience in a media agency or similar environment, minimum 5 year of media buying experience including self-service RTB/Programmatic. Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
• Practical knowledge of DSP platforms (e.g. DBM,Amobee, OATH, Amazon, and Adobe) as well as the programmatic ecosystem (DSPs, Exchanges, SSPs, DMP, etc.).
• A deep understanding of paid social platforms (Facebook,LinkedIn, Twitter, Snap), including partner marketing ecosystem.
• Experience evaluating and utilizing data partners within and without of DMP environments.
• Strong knowledge of digital advertising workflow, measurement, optimization, and testing methods.
• B2B experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal written communication skills including conducting executive level presentations.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to inspire collaboration and teamwork.
• Previous experience working with large brands/budgets and managing projects of scale.
• Excellent project management skills and strong attention to detail and cross-team coordination.
• Proficiency in database and data visualization tools such as Tableau or MicrosoftPowerBI.
