Reporting directly to (solid line) the Head of Global HSE and functionally to (dotted line) the Supply Chain VP Americas, integrating the Supply Chain Americas Leading team. Actively contributes to design and lead the HSE Function in the Americas, progressively switching from a “reactive” to a “proactive excellence” mode in managing HSE.
Mission/Objectives
The mission of this role, in strict partnership with the Global HSE Team, is to deploy in the Americas the global programs promoting safe behaviors and responsible use of nature, proactively shaping them according to the local needs and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Closely cooperating with Regional SC, Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, CSR, Internal Audit, IT, Legal Functions. The positions will be responsible of leading the regional HSE organization. Country HSE leads will be reporting to the Regional HSE who will be setting their targets and defining priorities and ways of working in alignment with the Global HSE organization
• Develop and improve HSE management systems in the Americas to ensure compliance with Corporate guidelines and Legal requirements.
• Manage the company program for certification against HSE related international standards as deemed required – ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001.
• Ensure systems and tools are implemented in Americas to monitor HSE compliance
• Monitor targets to boost HSE performance in the Americas organization
• Deploy global programs supporting HSE performance improvement and behavioral change, with specific reference to Life Protecting Systems (i.e, fall protection, confined space entry, isolation of hazardous energy-lockout, fire protection, hazardous chemicals, pressure vessels and electrical safety) and operations (GHG,water and energy use, circular ecomomy, WWT plants)
• Deploy the corporate Crisis and Emergency Management Programs ensuring the planning and coordination of drills by local teams.
• Provide guidance and support to Plants in managing HSE operations
• Identifies and drives the Americas integration of best practices and lessons learned to improve HSE programs Deploy specific cultural improvement programs to embed sustainability within Campari Group Corporate values and identity
• Assist with the screening and hiring of site HSE managers
• Assist with roles and responsibilities definition for what concerns HSE aspects
• Assist with HSE site managers performance evaluation and rewarding
• Set the regional and Local HSE targets in alignment with the local Manufacturing operations
• Ensure and optimize HSE Metrics (such as LTA´s and reportable incidents)
• Review with FP&A and Engineering the budget / CAPEX related to HSE aspects in the Americas.
Experience & Education
• Minimum 6 years in SC organizations.
• Exposure to regional HSE activities and organizations, particularly in NA and LATAM (It is key to stress out that this position will be leading the HSE organization in 7 countries /Canada, US, MX, , Brazil, Argentina, Peru/ so we need a candidate with the proper regional mindset and experience in running operations both in a latin American environment as well as a anglo American environment)
• Experience in FMCG; experience in the Spirits/Beverage industry is a strong plus
• Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE.

Additional Requirements:
• Spanish as a second language
• Portuguese is a plus
