Description
This position will be responsible for multiple functions of Logistics. The Logistics Specialist II will be cross trained in unloading of containers, receiving, material/inventory movement, picking, packing, shipping, and loading of containers. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have attention to detail, excellent communication skills, type accurately, have knowledge of all functions of logistics, and can work independently or with a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advanced order fulfillment activities using company systems and following business processes. Includes allocation, picking, packing, prepping, rating, shipping, loading trucks etc.
• Ensuring compliance with customer and business requirements as it relates to fulfillment and shipment of sales order processing.
• Utilize technology within warehouse (i.e. RF units or computer terminals)
• Maintain inventory accuracy by physical movement and also electronic movement utilizing company software systems.
• Perform cycle count duties, including investigating discrepancies.
• Investigate issues and solve complex problems.
• Follow defined processes and identify opportunities to refine processes.
• Provide leadership/mentoring to Logistics Specialist I and temporary staff
• Fulfill bulk inventory requirement for both assembly and outside contractors
• Operate and maintain powered industrial to a clean and ready state for operations, including required safety inspections
• Maintain warehouse space for optimal utilization
• Pick, process, pack, and ship orders to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
• Unload trucks within specified timeframe
• Labeling, receiving, and unloading products from containers.
• Prepping, Staging, Wrapping, etc. for customer orders
• Supporting dock operations including truck loading.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish team goals.
• Follow defined processes and assist in maintaining an accurate inventory.
• Provide suggestions and feedback to management.
• Achieve personal and team goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED minimum
• 2-5 years' experience
• Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred
• WMS experience preferred
Competencies and Skills:
• Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck
Physical Demands:
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office -- Excel, Word, SAP
• Type accurately
• Count and maintain inventory
• Forklift Certification
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Self-motivated
• Ability to follow and teach precise processes
• Prioritize tasks and be able to switch tasks as needed
• Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
• Some overtime required.
• Ability to work days or nights as scheduled.
• Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
• Depth perception, visual, and hearing acuity for safety

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:
• Exposure to plant environment, with fork lift and other general hazards.
