Senior Director, Strategy, Marketing Communications, IGT Devices
We welcome you to join Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) as the Senior Director, Strategy, Marketing Communicationsin our San Diego, CA, Colorado Springs, CO or Maple Grove, MN locations.
In this role, you have the opportunity to work with an innovative product line-IGT Devices is part of the Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT) business group.
As the Senior Director, Strategy, Marketing Communications, you will lead the strategy team (Strategy Director and Strategic Insights team) and marketing communications for the Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) business. You will be specifically responsible for the strategy function and translating marketing objectives into aligned communications plans, serving as a strategic partner to marketing leadership, leading a team of managers and individual contributors.
You are responsible for
Strategy
• Provides strategic leadership and partnership – Leads the SPOR process for IGTD. Partners closely with the Segment, Functional leadership and Finance in developing and aligning the IGTD strategic plan. Works closely with IGTS counterparts in aligning the strategic plan (SPOR) for IGT. Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas
• Serves as IGTD representative on cross-business unit R&D initiatives. Partners with cross-business unit/IGT R&D teammate in aligning cross-business unit priorities. Represents IGTD at IGT XBUG meetings
• Handles pan-IGTD portfolio prioritization process –Leads and runs the annual portfolio prioritization process across IGTD driving overall alignment and trade-offs at the IGTD level
• Provides strategic counsel to Segments – Participates as a meaningful teammate in business specific challenges. Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business
• Leads strategies that span across IGTD – Leads critical strategic initiatives that span across the business segments. e.g., reprocessing, artificial intelligence
• Leads the Strategic Insights team and organizational analytics– Leads the Strategic Insights team in running third party data, optimizing and aligning market models, preparing business reviews and executing the annual customer satisfaction survey
Marketing Communications
• Strategically aligns strategy and tactics at the IGTD and IGT level: Works closely with leadership, marketing and marcom at both the IGTD and IGT level ensuring alignment and execution throughout the organization. Participates on key organizational teams, councils and taskforces, as needed
• Partners with global marketing and communication partners – Partners with global partners ensuring not only global messaging alignment, but also local customization to meet geography specific needs. Also works closely with Image Guided Therapy Systems Marketing Communications director in ensuring alignment of business group messaging. Maintains positive working relationships

Our solutions combine navigational tools such as catheters and guide wires with advanced software to help confirm the optimal treatment at the point of care: measurement technology, procedure-specific application support and on-board imaging and monitoring with improved anatomical and functional information to optimize therapy delivery. The IGT-Devices organization consists of four segments: Coronary, Peripheral Vascular, Electrophysiology and Lead Management.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• Typically requires a Master’s degree with 15+ years of related experience; or a PhD with 10+ years’ experience
• Strong management skills
• Ability to develop corporate and/or organizational policies and authorize their implementation
• Interact internally and externally with executive level management
• Ability to negotiate extremely critical matters
• Successfully influencing policy making
