The Director of Consumer Insights, is responsible for ensuring the voice of the consumer is heard in all business decisions. This role is expected to bring the consumer perspective to marketing decision making around brand strategy, positioning, consumer communication, and targeting. This person will manage a team of 4 and will report directly to the VP of Consumer Insights. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive consumer market research experience and a leadership style that fuses inspiration with a passion for making a difference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

◦ Deploy general manager mindset to drive business strategies and position us for success. Leverage strong commercial knowledge and financial acumen to deliver annual operating plan.
◦ Build a high-performing team by delivering clear strategies, hiring top talent, and delivering strong coaching through situational leadership and candid growth conversations.

• Build a Sustainable Growth Strategy
◦ Support Brand in the development of long term brand strategy and annual brand marketing plans including business objectives, consumer and channel strategies, and translation of strategies to the consumer through all elements of the marketing mix.
• Deliver Consumer Insights That Drive Action
◦ Own consumer insight development and deliverables to ensure insights are translated into actionable marketing plans. Translate and communicate brand's unique selling propositions to key stakeholders - consumers, customers, and cross-functional partners.
• Innovate to Address Consumer Needs
◦ Lead the development and implementation of new Insight tools to elevate and amplify the value of Consumer research and consumer needs, by exploring new approaches to methodologies, analyses, reporting while managing within budget constraints.
• Drive Customer Engagement Through Communication Strategy & Messaging
◦ Leverage strong storytelling skills to develop impactful reporting and output to influence key stakeholders and ultimately drive action across our brands and categories. Help the commercial team build compelling selling stories that leverage our brand equities and inform category dynamics.

◦ Drive organizational and customer engagement behind brand strategies to generate excitement, align on priorities, and ensure we deliver strong execution

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, major in Business, Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, Sociology or related field.
• 10+ years of consumer market research experience, to include study design, management and application of various types of market research with 5 years of CPG/Beverage experience.
• This role is based at the KDP Plano, TX headquarters location. Relocation to Greater Dallas area is required with 10%-15% travel.
