Process Innovation (PI) delivers results to all divisions within Samsung Electronics America (Mobile and Consumer Electronics). Position Summary
Responsible for understanding SEA’s overall strategy and core business process and systems. Lead process innovation through project management and execution of cross-functional projects, realize operational excellence, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance our IT operations. Identifies root cause to problems and uses data driven approaches to solve them. Extensive interaction with senior management and subject matter experts to identify problems, analyze information, and develop and implement business performance solutions consistent with our business strategies will be required. PI’s role encompasses all projects from top management based on the company needs and should go above and beyond assigned responsibility to support.
Role and Responsibilities
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Operations Support Team with focus on IT Management, System Projects, and Next ERP (SAP platform)
• Lead and set up large-scale company process improvements and initiatives for major businesses that include project management, process design, development and implementation.
• Lead the project technical and operational team (SEA/SDSA) and maintain the project objectives through effective management skills.
• Set up and manage KPIs by working with the business owners or senior leadership teams to establish continuous performance and quality improvement efforts
• Define the scope of the project in collaboration with business owners, create a detailed work plan which identifies activities, implement the project, and monitor the progress of the project for successful completion of the project
• Maintain and improve existing systems and processes continuously to evolve with the changing business strategies, and ensure to bring up to the industry standards by performing market studies
• Provide training and continuous monitoring during and after project completion to ensure compliance with the changed process
• Lead cross functional teams that gather information to identify improvement strategies by understanding the organization structure and being able to navigate the organization to effectively drive change management system or processes
• For any issues or problems, perform deep dive analysis and research to find root cause and appropriate corrective actions to resolve the issue, optimize process and provide governance
• There is no limitation to scope and services PI provides to the company in its efforts to become Best in Class company with premium systems and optimum processes to support its advancement
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS). MS/MBA is preferred but not mandatory
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in the job offered or occupation performing project management, system implementations, budget management, and financial and operational analysis or audits
• Experience in financial and operational analysis and presentation to executive management teams
• Demonstrated ability to identify areas of process improvement and managing improvement projects
• Experience in business process review and analysis, managing departmental and project budgets
• In-depth use and knowledge of SAP platform, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Korean preferred

• Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within a work group, across other company functions and with external organizations
• Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions
The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
• Operate PC and product test equipment more than 75% of work time in an alternating sedentary and highly mobile position
• High level of visual acuity, numeric/character distinction and moderate color distinction for accurate test equipment operation, for information analysis and error recognition
• o Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule
◦ Travels to regional SEA, HQ (Korea), or customer sites 25% of the time
