We are currently looking for a Global Accounts Director to join our team in New York.
As a Global Accounts Director, you will:
Act as a sales leader who is responsible for developing, directing, and implementing strategic business partnerships that lead to long-term global account development. The Global Accounts Director provides leadership, support, and direction to Global Accounts Executives by setting expectations, driving new business, and maintaining existing client base, including quota attainment.
Do you have the following required qualifications?
• Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing, political science, psychology or communications.
• 8 years sales and account development experience, including 6 years in commercial product sales, including 3 years in sales supervisory role (with direct reports) responsible for developing, coaching, and leading sales team to obtain sales results.
• History of managing large-sized clients.
• Ability to travel frequently up to 60 percent of time in assigned sales area; occasional overnight and international travel required for client engagements, meetings, and/or training.
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in New York without relocation assistance.
Do you have the following preferred qualifications?
• Experience in domestic and international markets preferred, with understanding of market dynamics and distribution networks abroad.
• Commercial furniture, real estate, commercial lighting, commercial flooring industry experience.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
• Ability to understand unique buying behaviors in multiple geographies/cultures; possesses cultural adaptability to work through barriers and achieve results.
• Robust negotiation skills to close business and manage relationships.
• Must be strategic and analytical thinker capable of driving creative and tactical business decisions that support Haworth initiatives.
• Visionary leader capable of initiating ideas and implementing strategies.
• Ability to coach and develop people, build teams, deliver results, and facilitate change.
